IN ADDRESS:

 

     My fellow citizens of Haense, I find myself penning this document with excitement lining my very words. As a Nation, we are soon coming once again upon the General Elections. A busy affair, and one that decides the direction Lady Haense takes for the few years afterwards. During this time, Haense needs a Maer, and it will be my honor and duty to fill that role in order to better Haense. I would first like to thank Lady Tatyana for her many years in office, serving Haense dutifully and diligently, bringing many improvements and much good to our city, New Reza.

 

     For those who don't know me, I am Ser Demetrius Ruthern, Knight of Haense and a proud officer in the Haeseni Royal Army. For most of my life, I have served in the defense of our Nation, on the roads or in the fields. Though this will continue, and I will not falter in my dedication to the Military, I find myself with an ambition. An ambition to serve not only in defense, but in an unyielding drive to improve New Reza as your Maer. Haense is a glorious nation, one I am so proud to call home, that even now words fail me in describing such. I have fought for it and will proudly die for it but until then, I still have work to do. Writing this, as I look out the window and see the banners of New Reza flowing gently in the breeze, there is one emotion I hold: Hope. Hope that I can work alongside each and every one of you, united in a single, honest mission- To improve our country, our city, our home.

IN AGENDA:

 

     Throughout this campaign, and time as Maer, there are a few key points I would like to focus on. Though they are only stepping stools to more ideas and projects, they provide a gauge of how I aim to improve the city if I’m given the honor of being elected.

 

• To create competition amongst higher priced housing, so that houses remain desirable and sought after. For example, if a manor opens up, rather than immediately pushing it back into circulation, an auction will be held in order to create competition amongst families for the desired property. The goal of this is to make sure houses are not occupied for brief spans before being abandoned, rather, being sought after with the intent to maintain and make good use of the property. This should reduce properties sitting vacant in the future, and instead allowing good, trustworthy owners to occupy them.

 

• To assist the education and integration of individuals  into Haense and her culture, through programs and projects directed towards focus on the arts, so that any willing individual will have an accessible and strong integration into our wonderful community. By working with the Royal Academy of Saint Catherine, as well as hosting plays and other programs dedicated to the arts> The mission is to make our culture that much more accessible so our city may grow in size, and our citizens grow in unity and knowledge.

 

• Though cliche, the mentioning of this is still a necessity. That of course being the presence of events! Lady Tatyana, as we all know, has done an incredible job at hosting lively and extraordinary events for our city, such as the Reznian Games, Barovifest, Juliyeafest, and many more to date. Events are a core part of our city and culture, drawing in outsiders to give them a taste of the many amazing things this Kingdom has to offer. As Maer, I seek to bring you unique and entertaining events, so that the Realm may see what makes us proud citizens of Haense.

  • Under this, I seek to instill new life into the Tavern. Sitting vacant since the Parentes departed, I seek to once again staff and maintain the tavern, so that it once again becomes a bustling site, and the drinks will always flow freely!

IN CONCLUSION:

 

      Wrapping this campaign up, I wish all potential candidates the utmost luck in the upcoming election. Win or lose, I promise that the betterment of Haense will not ever leave my mind, and I will continue to work stronger and harder in order to watch our Nation continue to improve. Through plans to improve housing and secure it for the future, educate and incorporate individuals into our fine culture, and provide new life and events to the city and it’s tavern, I wish to see this city prosper. I hope to receive your vote come election time, and as always, Ave Haense!

Sigmar Baruch would puff his cigar as he read over the campaign missive with a chuckle. “Young lad seem t’be brigh’, Ah reckon he’s someone worth mah support.” he’d nod. “Ah wish ‘im the best o’ luck! he’s go’ my support.”

“Well the man has my vote!” Lady Sabrina Halcourt would of had said in a very happy mood, as of right after of saying aloud of her support of Ser Demetrius Ruthern, Sabrina took a small sip from her tea.
