The Verdict Simply Is.

Elmali’thill are diligent people, a fact that holds true for all those upstanding Mali’Aheral that adhere to Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya as all pure Mali’Aheral ought. It is Elirham’Mali’thill - the industriousness of Mali’Thill - that has propelled us to far greater heights than that of our lesser cousins across the millennia. Industriousness, or more simply put, diligence, is what drives progress, what cultivates competence.

Diligence is a trait reserved only for those that possess an impeccable sense of duty, reinforced by an unassailable responsibility for one’s obligations - a trait for those worthy of respect and leadership.

YET. It has come to the attention of the people that one Nerithil Valarieth has shown a blatant disregard for the VERDICT of his trial, the punishment for his suspected conspiracy in the killing of my niece and your Malaurir, Azorella Elibar’acal. The former Okarir’Nor has been sentenced to serve two years in el’Sillumiran in full, by law, yet has never been seen conducting this service. As many of you know, I spent decades beneath my helmet. Serving Lareh'thill valiantly, to hear one sentenced to the crime has no stones to serve his sentence deeply disappoints me. My face remains charred, my ear mauled, my body RIDDLED with scars. Justice is justice.

This very same councillor…

Is a suspect of the conspiracy in the killing of the late Maheral Azorella Elibar’acal,

Has rejected the verdict of a lawful trial in the past,

Has previously displayed a negligence for his duties as Okarir’Nor,

the DILIGENCE of this Mali’Aheral comes to an indubitable question.

Nerithil Valarieth, serve your sentence in the Sillumiran, or your competence and worthiness for a position in Elheial’Thilln shall be questioned.

Elathion frowned deeply, crossing his arms as he recalls not seeing Nerithil in Sillumir armor once. “Do the Sillumir really delegate one man to guarding the closet in the Valarieth manor?” He’d say, to no one in particular.

A lone ‘Thill peers at the notice, a brief laughter adorning his chapped lips. His shoulders seem cradled by an azure cloak, eyes peering about a white tower.

”You sit above in your seat, doing nothing but lie and seeth. Where are you now, pretender? – At least now, the citizens see past your feeble falsehoods. We await your sentence.”

And so, he’d venture forth once more.

Further charges may be presented in court and additional fines may be accrued for the denial of the verdict, if this be true. However the verdict is the verdict. Nerithil Valarieth was found non-guilty of the conspiracy charges due to a lack of incriminating evidence. For this reason it is highly inappropriate to publicly accuse said mali’thill of said actions of conspiracy. His major sentencing was for negligence & inaction during the events leading up to the assassination of the late maheral.

Again, I urge any mali’aheral withholding evidence to bring it forward. You obstruct justice with your silence.  We cannot sentence a mali’aheral with emotional arguments and unsubstantiated claims. I am not keen to allow us to rush towards another violent resolution. We are not valah afterall.

Cease these public mob tactics seeking to undermine the justice system.

Nerithil Valarieth will perform his sentencing or it shall be extended and the question of his purity will be looked into.

May Azorella watch over us and may the pollen of her wisdom help resolutions grow.

The Mali’aheral of this once great democracy, now tyranny, call for evidence. And yet when it is given, they shut their eyes. Where is justice? Not here, no doubt. Not in the court rooms of the Sohaer, nor in the council chambers of my kin when she was brutalized. Do not forget that it was a member of this same council that killed her, and yet we look to them for justice? For punishment?

Do not let your hearts be stilled by false platitudes, Mali. Do not let these men and women in control fool you into believing that justice is rabble, that truth is distraction, and that purity is silence. Do not let your lips be tied by the words of young men in young seats, whose power wanes even now under the brunt of their own corruption. Look to yourselves and ask; does this sentence feel right? Does it hold weight? Is party to murder, or incompetence in its face, to be punished with lecture? Is responsibility, whether intended or not, in the Maheral’s death to be rewarded with a position of privilege and power in our state?

The trial was held and conducted by 5 from the Malauriran. We were asked to usher the proceedings due to our lack of bias. The trial was not conducted by the accused council.

I will assume that one choosing not to sign their name also neglected to attend the actual trial. One cannot write of justice and evidence when they themselves failed to appear in court to witness said trial and one who writes anonymously in order to incite disunity in the face of these events should question themselves rather than the decision of the court. Your claims are rife with malcontent for a system you already chose not to participate in. Your lack of knowledge on the current situation is noted.

Let me repeat again, the evidence presented during the trial of Nerithil Valarieth was largely unsubstantial & proved only that the councilor was negligent in the events leading to the death of the Maheral. You cannot call for justice but then bring the Malauriran no evidence to provide said justice. It has also been stated that should evidence lacking from the precious trial be presented that a retrial may be had.

Iatrilemar Elervathar rages against the peoples outrage because he has grown fat and content on a status quo that benefits him. He cites failures in wording and technicalities to dismiss the lack of justice that happens before your eyes. Do not be fooled by his indignant, arrogant meanderings. The Malauriran who sat on that council were hand picked and called because they were the council’s allies. I was not among them because I was never written to come, nor were many, but I know this. I know that my kin’s killer goes unpunished. I know those who mete out and supervise punishment sit on the council, whether or not they decided on it alone or follow the wishes of the Malaurir they DEIGNED to inform. I know those who facilitated it sat on the council. I know that those who enabled it will sit there again soon.

As if I am some malcontent because I was never informed of my great grandaughter’s death and the trial of those responsible before false sentence had been passed. As if I am willingly failing to participate because in their stacking of their jury I was never written. As if not being physically present at trial somehow prevents me from knowing what transpired there.

Let them whine of the people’s wishes in their opulent halls, supported only by themselves.
