An act seeking to create a legal way for adoption.

INTRODUCTION

It is the intention of this bill to properly define what adoption is, and to create a legal precedent of how an adoption works. As currently, adoptions do not exist in legality, but still happen illegally and informally on occasion.

SECTION I:

Seeks to create CH 302.03 and implement it into the Oren Revised Code.

302.03 - On Adoption

302.031 - Adoption is defined as the legal acquisition of guardianship over an individual under the age of majority who has no living parents or guardians.

302.032 - Adoption cases are handled through the Imperial Courts, which grant the permission to adopt.

302.033 - Adoption does not overrule filiation, and therefore the adoptee retains their original surname. If they have no surname, they will be given one by the courts.

302.034 - Adoptees gain no right to the inheritance of the adopter.

Introduced by Member of Commons Sir Lauritz Christiansen on 7th of Grand Harvest, 1776

Issued and proclaimed,

Peter III, by the grace of GOD Holy Orenian Emperor, forever August, King of Renatus, Curon, Salvus, and Seventis, King of Kaedrin, Prince of Malinor, Grand Duke of Ves, Duke of Lorraine and Roden, Baron of Sedan, Vitzburg and Sedai, Protector of the Heartlanders, Highlanders, and Farfolk, etcetera
