Since the tragic passing of his Majesty King Sigismund II in 329ES, maintenance of the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska was entrusted to me by the Aulic Council until the Grand Prince of the Kusoraev reached the age of majority. 

 

In the six years that followed, Haense has endured and triumped over a great deal. We have remained resolute and united, and refused to give into despair and darkness following the passing of the late King Sigismund II; we have weathered the Scyfling Invasion, slaying Bralt the Boar and not only smashing the pagan army, but bringing many of their number under the rule of the Crown and the light of God; we have endured, and remained strong, in the face of a brewing global conflict; we have witnessed a demonic invasion of Arcas, which we continue to play our part in actively repelling and aiding those who have suffered from this unholy plague; we have seen the return of the Knights of Haense, and the academy. We did not hesitate when the hour seemed darkest, when our dear King was lost and the Scyflings razed Almanland. We have remained strong.

 

We would have perished had we not persisted. This ancient mantra of our Kingdom resonates as true today as it did when Haense emerged from bloody wars and catastrophies of the past. 

 

And so, leal men and women of Hanseti-Ruska, it has been the greatest honour of my life to deliver our Kingdom in a state of strength and prosperity to King Josef Sigismund, and thank each man and each woman for placing their trust in me to fulfill this duty, and each soldier and warrior for remaining resolute in our struggles, whether they be against Scyfling, demon or bandit. History knows now, better than ever before, that there exists nothing in the known universe that can keep Haense on its knees.

 

It is with great pleasure that I issue this statement to conclude the Regency and announce that King Josef has reached the age of majority and been privately crowned, with a public coronation to follow at a later date.
