To the esteemed peers and loyal citizens of the Holy Orenian Empire,

 

It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce our intent to play host to an imperial celebration, honoring our newly anointed Holy Orenian Empress, Anne I. For years as the Princess Imperial, Her Imperial Majesty fostered a bond between the Imperial Household and the Royal Household of Hanseti-Ruska - a comradery that was strengthened by her abundance of charm and warmth. This sharing of mutual trust has strengthened our resolve in maintaining our Tapestry of Man, in support of the Empress and our country.

 

King Josef I of Hanseti-Ruska and his court welcome all those across the Imperium to a night of revelry of momentous degree in the form of a masquerade. The theme of the evening is intended to represent the prospects and grandeur of our imperial future beneath her benevolent reign. To don shades of regal crimson, gold and white is encouraged while masks of extraordinary creation are expected. Throughout the ball, judgement of these costumes will be made, with three winners chosen by Her Majesty, Queen Isabel and her council.

 

In traditional Haeseni fashion, the pastime games of both Haeseni Chess and Lafsk will be available to all for further entertainment whilst observing the gallant and vigorous waltz of masquerade’s main event. It is assumed that, accompanied by the vast collection of vintage wines and casks of Carrion Black, a drinking game down to the last man or woman will be hosted to the great amusement of those with a light-hearted inclination to merry mischief. 

 

To complete the evening and send the guests off with a spectacle at twilight, a display of fireworks launched from the towers of the Ekaterinburg Palace will ignite the starry heavens in an array of fiery bursts, dazzling in gloriously vibrant colors. It is sure to be a sight that will live within the minds of the Imperial citizenry for years to come!
