Looking to the Horizon

An artist's rendition of the schematic created by famed elven architect Junar Enrique. The towering spire protruding like a sore thumb between the looming shadows of the mountainous terrain. The ebbing sunlight left the structure opaque to the viewer and one thing was clear - though majestic, this structure was fierce and certainly difficult to trespass upon.

Within the Empire stirred the workers within the humble enterprise that was the Camlannen Company. Assorted workers dragged wheelbarrows full of bricks as others laid down the mortar for the powerful structure that was being assembled within the Elven Pale, within the Gnarled Woods adjacent to the capital city of Providence. Clang! The clatter of steel, the continued metal-work, the sounds of grunting men and pack mules. These were the sounds that accompanied the creation of a powerful citadel. Over the hill stood Kairn, Yrenuin, and their son Vulen as they all cast their gaze over the horizon. Kairn adorned a dirty blacksmithing apron. His long white hair was full of soot and his eyes watched the continued work with fervent intensity.

Before long they too returned to the arduous work of assembling the ginormous stone citadel as they had been for years. Not long ago, a mere five-years ago, Orlanden and Bravepaw had come to join them in their self-imposed exile in the wild, untamed lands of the Empire's final frontier. At last, the Alderfolk were home, and they would have a safe haven to call their own.
