Nozgoth 2901 Share Posted March 14, 2021 Underneath the pallid moon, Among the trees and within the gloom Of a forest sound in June, Lays a manse of the highest esteem, With imposing gates and polished pillars that gleam, With iron fencing that tapers off into sharp pikes, And banners that beam the mightiest skrike. In that dark, down, behind those trees, Scarcely, visitors come and leave, By now, vines creep and seethe Between the perfect brickwork, Betwixt the sodden, pine-ridden earth, And the moon-lit sky, The foundation crumbles, deteriorates, dies, But the manse is not short of life. Underneath the pallid moon, Beyond the thicket, In the flower-bed’s bloom, Sleeps a dirkish doe ever-so Soundly, And through the bush, down in the decrepit manse, Lurks many-a-critter and vermin, who dance, And climb the pillars which now have an off-put stance, For this is now their expanse. This is now the Spirit’s domain, Where nature flourishes, free of restrain, Where nature has its own free-reign, Free of man-kinds stain, And the sun beats proudly upon the terrain. Spoiler A poem I cooked up, I'm kind of proud of it so I felt like sharing it.
