Seeking Tutor of Politics, Imperial Law & History

It was with great disappointment that I had come to find the Imperial College had shut its doors. Looking to further my education, I am seeking a tutor for advanced studies into Imperial Politics, Law and History. Willing to pay 4 minas per lesson, and based on the quality of the initial instruction - willing to contract for the long term and higher rates. I am well read, traveled, and fluent in multiple languages - therefore race is of no hinderance. Individuals who are already lettered scholars are preferable, and individuals who are capable of bestowing educational credentials are the most competitive for employment - all administrative fees for the filing of any licensures or degrees will be paid in addition to a bonus for any such individuals. Please write me a bird in Providence if this position seems lucrative to you.

It is my intent to use my current education, combined with this advanced education and bona fides, to seek application in one of the Ministries to benefit the state - and thus any instructor will find that I will return the investment in education back into the productivity of the nation.

Kind Regards,

rudelsberg.initialen.pngot long after the Mali's letter had been distributed, he'd have found a short missive sent back in response, delivered by a large, rather conversational crow adorned in tacky jewelry and dozens of expensive-looking, hanging chains. A scroll sat tucked 'twixt its two talons clad in gold, unfurling when taken to reveal;

"Minuvas Melphestaus,

You seem well rounded for an elven kinsman I've never quite seen in the empire. I'm Viktoriya; and, while I likely cannot fulfill the position of a tutor, I'd be interested to meet another Imperial 'thill. I know my fair share, I'm ancient in human terms - though nothing fantastic or extraordinary. If you'd like to speak,  find me in Providence!

Signed,

The Right Honorable, Captain Dame Viktoriya Tseczar KL, Knight of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Imperial Order of the Lion."

[!] A response is issued via courier.

"Mr. Melphestaus,

I share your disappointment that the Imperial University was shuttered. As you have probably intuited by now, so many in this country prefer private education to a classroom setting.

However, I am pleased to hear of your scholarly appetite, which I believe I may be able to sate. I am Josephine Augusta, Director of the Office of Civil Affairs for the Imperial Government, and co-author of the second volume of Epochs of the Empire, the most celebrated textbook of imperial history. I have some experience as a tutor, but mainly for the children of Augustine Palace--nevertheless, I am eager to educate an ambitious citizen, and my Office is always in need of learned men.

For your edification, I have enclosed copies of the first and second volumes of Epochs of the Empire (the former text was co-authored by the late High Pontiff, James II and the erudite Archchancellor, Sir Simon Basrid). If you are interested in receiving lessons, I have instructed the bearer of this missive to return in one day to receive your response. You may also contact me at my address at 5 Komnenos Avenue.

Josephine Augusta, Duchess of Sunholdt

Director of the Office of Civil Affairs."

[!] Gives the missive to the courier upon his return

"Your Grace,
I would be honored for the offer. While I am capable of paying, I am afraid to embarrass the Duchess by offering a salary well below her station and would be remiss if I did not mention that I could  not offer a wage that would not come off as offensive to someone of such esteem. I am well familiar with your excellent works, having used some of my earliest wages to purchase such wellsprings of education - it would be a distinct privilege to hear from such a reputable author and member of the Imperial State. Please let me know when I might make myself available for your in-person assessment, and I shall make it a priority, pending no other objections or concerns on your behalf.

A Dutiful Citizen,

[!] Missive would be sent as reply to Minuvas's letter.

"Minuvas... I'm Valent, if you remember me from when we meet at the tavern. I would be more than happy to be your tutor in Law and Politics as I have experience in both - more in Law, currently serving as Attorney-General of the Crown Prosecution Service and Alderman of Providence. I'm looking forward to your reply whether you wish me to become your tutor!"

The Right Honourable, Valent de Rosius
