PROVINS PICNIC

1816

MORGAN Frederick | I AM A CHILD | Family picnic, Cottage art, Baby painting

A N N O   D O M I N I  1817

Penned by the hand of TH Mary Casimira of Carrington

With Eastertide sweeping through the Empire of Man, it is with formidable distinction that Lady Eleanore of Provins and her esteemed kin bid for the subjects of John VIII to luxuriate in a springtime dining alfresco moderated within the gardens of the Provins Manor. The youth in attendance will roister in garden play while adults carouse in the multitudinous treats offered.

Those attending are expected to dress in their finest attire adorned with seasonal flowerets to commend the time of year.

Lady Eleanore’s father, Viscount Simon Casimr, along with her two brothers, have undertaken the challenge of sparring with those in search of a brawl. Champions will be awarded with a fifteen mina prize for each time they vanquish their competitors.

To complement that sparring competition, the adults will participate in a drinking trial in opposition of the Viscountess of Provins, Anne of Crestfall.

Children will tour the estate with a fervent game of hide-and-go-seek. To simmer down in the harsh sun, those present will then battle in a water balloon fight!

A servant approaches the young Baron Carrington as he were out in the fields on his horse, Benjamin Augustus. He would ride up to the courier and take the missive from his hand, reading it with a faint smile "Sounds delightful!" He'd exclaim, tossing the paper back to the servant and proceeding to gallop off into the fields.
