The Purpose: The First Section serves as Sarissa's standing army and guard force. Its members are to swear an oath and are bound by a formal contract. It is made up of professional soldiers who are expected to maintain a healthy physical condition and conduct themselves in a good manner.

Zbrojny (Man-at-arms) is a regular soldier of the Sarissan Company. They are capable of making arrests and have the right to earn promotions through service. They are paid a Saint-Weekly wage of 10 mina (Not including bonuses for attendance.)

Mistrz Zbrojny (Master-at-arms, or Master Man-at-arms) takes on the role of a senior grunt. They can be told apart by a green stripe on their cuirass. They are paid a Saint-Weekly wage of 15 mina (Not including bonuses for attendance.)

Sierżant (Sergeant) take on a leadership role. A Sergeant will oft times be given a certain post to look after. For example, training or quartermastery. A sergeant can be told apart by a green stripe on their cuirass as well as a half-cape that is to be worn over the right shoulder. A sergeant has the right to oversee trials over minor crimes such as petty theft. They are paid a Saint-Weekly wage of 20 mina (Not including bonuses for attendance.)

Kapitan (Captain) serves as the commandant of the company. The captain is expected ensure regular trainings and events are taking place and that his/her subordinates are performing their duties. The captain will be given a small baronet for the duration of their service, where their family may reside. A captain may be told apart by an aurum-plated armour, worn only by him/her for the duration of their service.

Druga SekcyaISecond Section
The Purpose: The Second Section is made up of volunteers and conscripts (In times of war or as alternative punishment)
They are not career soldiers and are free to do as they will outside of duty, having no responsibilities apart from serving as common foot soldiers. They do not get paid as they presumably have a career outside of their military duties.

Piechur (Footman) is the entry rank for common soldiery. Footmen are the backbone of the militia, serving as grunts or reservists. Every other soldier within the company is senior to the common footman.
Starszy Piechur (Senior Footman) remains a part of the second section/the militia, but is given the option to transfer to the first section as a Master-at-arms should they wish to actively pursue a military career. A senior footman holds no authority over members of the First Section.
