A Dance for the Ker

Though the ‘ker city, Stygian Hollow, has been quiet for many years, a new hand has been offered to aid the city to break their silence.

Since the burning of the Archon’s home in an attack and the clearing of the smoke, Matriarch, Rhaella Ashwood, thought it about time to host an event not only to lift the spirits of the people who still reside within the hollow, but as a way to showcase the city once more

Within the year, a formal ball is to be hosted! A nostalgic nod to a ball once hosted within Vira’ker when the Matriarch was young. Soon the hollow would be cleared of it’s debris and decorated for the event. The ravines and gardens full of attendees dressed in their best outfits.

Stalls will be set up for merchants to sell their items to the masses and the tavern will be filled with new drinks for everyone to indulge in

"Chadwick, prepare my evening formal wear. We may need to do a bit of research to find out what is appropriate to wear " Minuvas, his fashion now dating from the reign of Emperor Peter III and long since out dated,  began to look in his closet for which ascot he would wear.

Quietly, a large dark elfess sat in the darkness of their home, glancing over the paper she smiled warmly. Excited for more time to spend with family and potential or past friends, a glimpse of hope for a brighter future in the family was had. ‘Just like old times’, she thought. Though, old times were gone now. And hoping for them again was a futile attempt she made the mistake of trying for time and time again. But, just maybe this once?
 

Folding the paper neatly, she glanced outside the old barred windows and into the usually quiet and empty city that was Stygian Hollow.
 

”I shall await for you here, sister. This event shall be exciting.”

 

Though.. A much more displeased feeling came upon her as she realized she will need some sort of fancy dress for this. Ah well, time to break out the sewing needles..

Having only just woken up when the letter arrived, and perhaps with the worst hangover of her life, Velsyni Indoren took the letter, stuffed it under her pillow, and went back to sleep. When she woke up again, however, she read over the missive a second time and gave a quiet hum of consideration. Her first observation, of course, was, "I thought that one died... Huh." After trailing off, she moved on and scanned over a few different elements of the invitation. "Quite the interesting guest list... Even I wanted to go, my schedule won't allow it... Mm, formal wear, I will need to get out some polish, then... But what would I wear?!" 

 

She sleepily rambled on like that for few minutes as she dug through her wardrobe, before finally just concluding, "Fine, I'll go." With that, she walked over to her desk, and dropped the letter into one of the drawers to be forgotten about, quickly jotting the time and date into her schedule book thereafter.
