of Sibylla Erica’s coming-of-age in portrait.

The Ducal House of Barclay invite all to commemorate the coming-of-age of Lady Sibylla Barclay as she approaches this new stage of her life, with all its challenges, to be welcomed into the embrace of adulthood.

I. WREATH CEREMONY

 

The Lady will be presented, by her female relations, a wreath made up of blooms of her choice. Each shall signify their wishes for her, moving forward. Lady Sibylla’s will contain white roses, to signify new beginnings. Lavender crocuses, to bring tidings of Spring. And the Andromeda, to symbolize a rebirth and renewal. 

 

II. THE FIRST DANCE

 

As per tradition, the first dance shall be between Lady Sibylla and her father, Lord Johann Barclay. The two will waltz to traditional Haeseni music, before the rest of the couples might join in and mingle in the ballroom. 

 

III. ATTIRE & THEME

 

The theme for the debutante is Swan Lake. Guests are encouraged to wear shades of blue with bird themed accessories. Those who wish to enter courtship with Her Princely Ladyship are encouraged to wear white swans pinned to their attire.
