A good sense of balance is one where both parties have some of what they want, and some of what they don’t. We shall not belabor this point other than to say we believe we have found a tentative balance. Where all of Mali kind may pursue their innate talents of magic and knowledge without harming the natural world. Such a balance requires constant monitoring, as we maintain that the Void does not require protection from Nature. We fully embrace and welcome Magi across all of Elvendom, to study in a way that enables practical scholarly pursuit without the great temptations and corruptions that gnaw at the edge of the void.

Revelations of Malin by Conclave

 

oem. It is determined by conclave, that it is Malin's Will that the ‘Balance Compromise’ laws of Ebonwood to be modified, serving as an example to Elves across all of Almaris. The Spire of ilandria shall serve as an area of central magical studies within the Ebonwood, granted the right to place a Gwaithor of Maehr'Teth (Knowledge Keeper of the Void) to advise this conclave - whose appointment may be decided by the residents of the Spire, and who is expected to provide advise on all matters voidal.The Ebon Law shall be amended to read as the following.

The Balance Law

 

When voidal magic is utilized, it must be:
      I. Essential for individual defense.
      II. The minimum amount required for the necessary effect.
      III. Unallowed from harming any portion of the natural world.

 

The sanctuary known as the Spire of Ilandria will permit the following exceptions within a 10-meter radius of any given outer wall to the structure:
      I. Voidal magic may be used freely so long as it does not corrupt — intentionally or otherwise — the natural world.
      II. Voidal constructs may be created within the structure with approval from the Conclave.
      III. These constructs must have any corruption cleansed at least once per Elven Week at the expense of the Gwaithor in charge of the structure.
      IV. Any unauthorized or dangerous breach of the Balance Law by members of the Spire of Ilandria is grounds for the immediate dismantling of the structure with approval by the Princep.
