Spoiler

Mathilda von Alstreim: “In the stead of the Royal Chancellery, and the Lord Chancellor I commence this sitting of the General Assembly.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Now, let us all rise and recite the ancient oath of Nauzic.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Do repeat after me, honourable Assembly of Oren.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: ““I swear to be true to the King and the realm and not to maintain silence about any evil that I may know which is being contemplated against them. I swear to work tirelessly to the betterment of the Kingdom and the Orenian people that comprise it.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “I swear also not to eat or drink with traitors and not to have anything in common with them, and always to defend the honor of the gentlemen I serve. This I swear by the Holy Scrolls.”

Dame Primrose Gendik repeats the Oath.

Maciej Jazloviecki repeats the Oath.

Wolfgang de Vilain repeated the Oath.

Anneliese Rose repeats the Oath.

Clara Vernhart Repeated the Oath.

Ottilie Franziska repeated the Oath.

Lord Solomon Obedia repeated the oath.

Otton Jazloviecki repeated the Oath but joined in halfway through as he had been whispering.

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Now, on our agenda today- we have lots of work to cover.”

Angelika Castile adjusted her glasses as she began to wipe them with her robes so she can see the clearing in front.

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The impeachment of the Lord Vizier and bills to debate on.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “I give the floor to Burgess Komnenos regarding the Lord Vizier situation.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos signs to Juniper “ alright its on the table get ready.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos places his cane infront of him, placing his hands firmly ontop of it.

Mathilda von Alstreim nods towards Cesar.

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Ladies, Gentlemen…. Some time ago our elected Vizier a man that's meant to judge morality of the men and women within this kingdom.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Broke the same vaules his meant to judge by when he tried by force to take a young woman away from her guardians.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “On the grounds shes mute, and uses signs to speak with other people around her.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Our Vizir claimed it to be black magic.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “By using his office and his office as a of faith.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “He tried to take her, without just cause.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Last assembly it was demanded that he should be here, for which I agreed and witnesses to the event to be here.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Today I bring witnesses to the event and the young lady herself.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “I wish for Her ladyship Baroness Primrose, to come join me on the floor.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The floor is granted to one, Baroness Primrose therefore.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Your ladyship please tell this assembly what happened on the day in question.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “To the best of your memory.”

Dame Primrose Gendik: “I was teaching a lesson in the clinic classroom with Augustus Iomharach when shouting about black magic was heard from outside. I shouted for them to quiet down but it persisted, and only got louder as people's attentions were drawn to the Vizor, Artie, and Grace Romstun's disturbance.”

Dame Primrose Gendik: “They insisted on dragging Juniper away from her guardian and longtime friend of mine, Sorriel Redfist, and said he was under arrest. Well,” Primrose chuckled at that. “They don't have the authority to declare arrests in Oren, so I had to step in.”

Dame Primrose Gendik: “The Vizor and Ronstuns contiued to shout and Juniper was frightened by the growing crowd. They wanted to take her to the church for mass, I believe. They were going to ''heal her'' and cleanse her with the gift of ''GOD''.”

Dame Primrose Gendik: “Whatever their idea of GOD was, they wanted a miracle, to pray over her, but she didn't want that. They continued to call her a witch, that Sign Language was Black Magic. Eventually we got Juniper to hide in the clinic to calm down. After that I sent Juniper and her guardian out seeing they had gone, but they showed no remorse for their bigoted actions.”

Dame Primrose Gendik: “That is the best as I recall. I then resumed the lesson.” Primrose pointed toward Solomon Obedia. “Sir Solomon Obedia was there as well, should he like to testify.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “His lordship Obedia, before you tell your story to this assembly I bid you a question on the event.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “During the event, the ordeal of being handicapped either it by vision or able to speak or hear, did the Lord Visir make any comments on that to you in person when he was conforted on the topic.”

Lord Solomon Obedia: “Yes. Though I do not remember specifically word for word, it was a lot about religion and god. Had I rephrased it, it would be something like 'she was a defect girl' and was to be fixed by some judgement of god. There was no casual connection to why they were actually kidnapping the girl it was just them using god to cover up their wrong-doings which is a perfect example of what is not accaptable if you ask real men of god.”

Lord Solomon Obedia: “And even though he was informed multiple times that it was not dark magic of any kinds he insisted that he should take her away from her parents to be 'cleansed' indeed.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Thank you, now please tell your side of the events for the assembly.”

Mathilda von Alstreim coughed, lips curling as she uttered. “I think that satisfies us enough, and we commend the Burgesses who spoke and led this inquiry.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Before we end lets hear the young lady.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Time is precious, Burgess Komnenos and the inquiry has prolonged long enough.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Just a fast recap ma'am.”

Mathilda von Alstreim hummed. “Go on, but be brisk.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos signs to juniper “ please shout a fast recap of the story for the assembly .”

Juniper Rose nodded “I'm fully deaf, so I was communicating with my guardian using sign language. While we were talking, a man came up to us, and from what I was told he accused us of using gang signs for the purpose of black magic. When we tried to explain, he and another pulled out their weapons and attempted to arrest my guardian, while also trying to grab me and pull me away from him. Eventually the commotion drew a crowd to defend my guardian and I, and Primrose kindly let me hide in the clinic until everything had calmed down.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos signs to Juniper “ Thank you very much, her ladyship wishes to end the questioning and get on with the show .”

Juniper Rose: “Since then, he's continued to harass me by mocking my sign language and trying to kick me out of a public tavern for being deaf, as well as purposely scaring my service dog.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “It saddens us to hear of the actions of the Lord Vizier, therefore we move onto debate if anyone wishes for the floor.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos looks at the group and then at juniper “ go back up on the stands for now.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Just head back onto the stands for now.”

Leon Barclay: “Motion to vote… I think we've spent enough time on such a show.”

Juniper Rose: “Alright.. Thank you again.”

Leon Barclay: “To vote on whether to keep or remove the Vizier from the position, that is.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “All those in favour?”

Leon Barclay: “Aye.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Aye.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Aye.”

Otton Jazloviecki: “Aye.”

Dame Primrose Gendik: “Aye.”

Ottilie Franziska: “Aye.”

Dima: “Nae.”

Juniper Rose: “Aye.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “All those opposing?”

Dima: “Nae.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The chair has seen enough, Father Goderyc is removed from the office of Lord Vizier.”

Juniper Rose: “What did the chair say?”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “If I may before we further with our agenda, what does this honourable Assembly think of the position of Lord Vizier.”

Demitriyus: “MOST VITAL”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos raises his hand.

Cliff Farsky: “KEEP IT!”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Go on, Burgess Komnenos.”

Leon Barclay: “It'd be a good position if given to someone competent this time.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos puffs his suit jacket “ I highly suggest its removed, its an office that borders the realm of corruption at its core, if a man of the cloth can't even do it, then how can any man or woman? .”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “That is most true, does anybody else wishes to debate further.”

Demitriyus aggressively raised his hand.

Dame Primrose Gendik: “I nominate Father Trevor.” The Dame rose to her feet.

Cliff Farsky: “Aye!”

Leon Barclay: “Don't the Lectors have enough influence already?”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Burgess Gendik, we are debating the position itself as of now.”

Dame Primrose Gendik: “If it stays.” She said, then sitting back down.

Darius Olivier: “Disband it!”

Demitriyus: “Keep it!”

Leon Barclay: “Motion to vote for the position's disbanding.”

Franz Arthur: “Keep it!”

Cliff Farsky: “Keep it!”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Order.”

Emir de Rosius: “Disband and find someone more suitable!”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The position is created through an Edict therefore we may only petition the Crown for its amendment.”

Demitriyus: “How can one trust a nationhood without a Vizier? A country without morality in order? As Kings and peoples stray further from God; NAY. For God is vital. God is needed! A man must see Gods law, those of moral nature, be carried out.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “In lights of such, let us vote and if such motion passes we are plead the Crown to amend the Edict of Temesch and disband the office.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “All those in favour?”

Leon Barclay: “Aye.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Aye.”

Emir de Rosius: “Aye!”

Dame Primrose Gendik: “Aye.”

Otton Jazloviecki: “Aye.”

Clara Vernhart: “Aye.”

Dima: “Aye.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Aye.”

Demitriyus: “Godless people!”

Lord Solomon Obedia: “Aye.”

Leon Barclay: “It's just a useless position, the church still exists…” commented the Barclay idly.

Mathilda von Alstreim: “All those opposing?”

Nemea Ke Kai'len: “You can believe in a god without having someone from the church in a position of power.”

Franz Arthur: “Nay!”

Demitriyus: “AYE”

Demitriyus: “KEEP IT”

Cliff Farsky: “Nay!”

Demitriyus: “For God would wish it so!”

Dima: “Er, nay!”

To?ito: “NAY!”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The motion passes.”

Leon Barclay nodded in content.

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The Crown is to consider our plead.”

Emir de Rosius: “Long live justice.”

Leon Barclay: “Hear hear.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Hear hear.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Now, we proceed with our agenda.”

Edward Clement: “I suppose!” He agreed with the voice despite knowing nothing of the situation.

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Firstly, we have the Assembly Procedure Act.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The bill seeks to eradicate chaos in this legislative body and give birth to proper parliamentary procedure and order.”

Demitriyus: “Nay! Too complicated.”

Leon Barclay: “Wait for it to move to debate” huffed the Barclay.

Edward Clement: “Is that what this is? Huh..” He said dimwittedly, tilting his head.

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “I call to motion to move it to voting, as the bill is rather simply.”

Leon Barclay: “I second the motion.”

Demitriyus: “Nay.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “If no one wishes for the floor, we are to vote.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “We vote then.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “All those in favour.”

Leon Barclay: “Aye.”

Franz Arthur: “Aye.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Aye.”

Emir de Rosius: “AYE.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Aye.”

Dima: “Aye.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “All those opposing?”

Edward Clement: “This is quite fun!”

Leon Barclay: “The assembly is supposed to be only for those with property….”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The Burgess Barclay is correct, yet there were no regulations created by the Edict.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The motion passes, with six ayes and two nays.”

Leon Barclay nodded to that as he raised his head “May I present my bill?”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The floor is granted to Burgess Barclay.”

Leon Barclay stood up as he offered the first parchment to the clerks of the Assembly, hadning them down along the burgesses.

Leon Barclay: “Simply put, the Noble Amendment act aims to officially recognize the Margraviate title in the RCO, and also offers Noble Peers similar privileges like those that the Royal Family and Privy Council enjoy in the Orenian Legislation.”

Emir de Rosius: “Ill go check what on earth is going on outside.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos raises his hand.

Leon Barclay eyed towards Mathilda as he remained quiet, allowing her to give the floor to debate.

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Go on, Burgess Komnenos.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Why should we the nobles be special when it comes to law, we can only be judged by the crown itself as it stands, why do you seek to offer theses privileges that already belong to the direct royal line?”

Leon Barclay: “The amendment only concerns noble peers, not all nobles.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Why should they have the same special privileges as the crown.”

Leon Barclay: “Who in turn are just as responsible for the governing of this nation as the Privy Council, if not more, for they govern our King's land directly.”

Leon Barclay: “Surely it should not be the same in the court of law if a commoner and a Duke of Oren are murdered.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “A noble is already seen as special when it comes to the court of law, as its only the crown that can direct judgement on them.”

Leon Barclay: “Ja, but not when the crime is done against the noble.”

Leon Barclay: “Titled noble peers hold many responsibilities and influence over the realm and its governing, that's why they should have the same special privileges as Royals and the Privy Council, the latter of two serve similar purposes.”

John Fleepicus: “Where is it.”

Leon Barclay: “Which is what Section II of the bill amends.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “The law should not see it as any different he may be a duke he may just be a baker, murder is murder.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The same could be said about the Crown or Privy Councillors.”

Leon Barclay: “Indeed” he nodded to Mathilda “Especally on the latter.”

Leon Barclay: “The Privy Council help his Majesty govern, as do his noble peers.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Also, the session is to adjourn after this debate and vote concludes.”

Leon Barclay nodded “It appears we've lost most of the burgesses to bordeom anyway.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Due to the clear lack of quorum.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Then lets move to the vote.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “If the votes are not enough, it shall be not valid.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “All those in favour.”

Leon Barclay: “Aye.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Aye.”

Isabel Amaranta: “It is not due to bordem, there is a raid happening currently.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Ja.”

Isabel Amaranta: “And aye.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “All those opposing.”

Leon Barclay: “Ah, my mistake.”

Cesar Alejandro Peter Komnenos: “Nay.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “What does Burgess Sarkozic and Rosius vote?”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “They are the needed quorum.”

Franz Arthur: “Aye.”

Emir de Rosius: “AYE.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “The act passes with five ayes and one nay.”

Leon Barclay nodded singly “Danke” he said to Mathilda before moving away from the floor.

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Yet, the quorum has been lost due to the ongoing raid.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “Therefore the chair adjourns this session.”

Mathilda von Alstreim: “May GOD watch over you, honourable Burgesses.”

THE DISSOLUTION OF THE OFFICE OF LORD VIZIER

After much deliberation and debate, the legislative body concluded that the office created through the Edict of Temesch is useless, corrupt and unnecessary and not befitting our society whilst the Royal Inquisition and the Petran Legion exists. Therefore, the General Assembly sent a plea to the Crown to consider amending the document to abolish such a position.

THE ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE ACT

In the short period of time that the General Assembly has been established by virtue of the Edict of Temesch we have witnessed chaos and lack of order, both of which are obstacles to producing and reviewing legislation. Therefore this Assembly Procedure is to establish the much needed order through numerous points.

THE NOBLE AMENDMENT ACT

With the recent inclusion and vassalisation of the Margravial House of Jazloviecki within the Kingdom’s Peerage, it has been noted that within the Revised Orenian Code there is no official mention or classification of such a title. Section I of this Act aims to legally recognize these noble peers.Aditionally, Section II of this Act attempts to further protect and associate the Noble Peerage of the realm with the rest of the state’s leadership, including the State Office and the Direct Royal House. Those holding lordly titles within the realm hold the vital responsibility of overlooking and leading subjects of his Majesty’s kingdom, yet their position is not distinguished in Title II of the Revised Orenian Code, “Lex Criminalis”
