THE MAGISTER,

    DESIRES TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING VERDICT BE KNOWN;

GUILTY

Sentenced to Death by Beheading upon arrest and a 200 mina fine.

WITH REFERENCE TO THE FOLLOWING LAWS:

BL.01.38 - On Disturbing the Peace

A.When a person causes problems and an uproar that affects the common peace of the state. This will be punished with a 200-300 mina fine

BL.01.18 - On Sedition

A.When a person intentionally distributes information or media, or speaks in a way that brings contempt against the state and its government, in a means to diminish its influence. This crime will only ever be punished with execution.

With Richard failing to make an appearance at his own trial, due to supposed illness, the Magister decided to ignore the plea to find the defendant in contempt of the court. The Prosecution displayed an apt knowledge of the law and used two very good witnesses and testimonies, explaining them with a determined skill.

The defence argued terminology well, but failed to find any evidence in favour of their case, perhaps due to lack there of. With the suspect being disowned in the defence’s closing words, it became rather obvious that it was in fact the case that the suspect was in fact guilty.

"With all due respect towards the Magister, I don't think that a fine and a death sentence are compatible punishments at all, for obvious reasons." said the Baron of Castelorena

A letter is sent to the Magister of Balian

---

Good sir,

Tidings upon ye,

I am disappointed in the Grand Dutchy's employment of a kangroo court.

Such actions are to distain the tradition and law that has served the human realms for centuries.

Balian's reputation is forever scarred by these actions. Ye have relinquished all hope for a fair society by adopting the judgment of the uncivilized uruks.

Signed,

Lars
