Following the successful establishment of the Royal City of Whitespire and the subsequent conclusion of the conflict with the Mori, the long awaited coronation of King James of Aaun. The staunch courtiers of His Majesty’s Clementine Court have prepared for months to ensure the event is of adequate station for the Royal enthronement. 

 

The Coronation shall take place in the Temple of the Exalted Prophets following a month-long festival to be held by the to-be crowned King of Aaun and his Royal Household.

TIMETABLE

   

Festival of St. Tobias

June 9 | 5:30 pm EST 

Preceding the Coronation the King and his Royal Household at the City of Whitespire, there will be a joust, titled the Joust of the Dragon, and various tents offering their respective wares to the people of Aaun at the Festival of St. Tobias. The joust’s victor will be awarded an official title which is to be recognised throughout the realm - they shall be known as the Champion of Alba.

 

Those wishing to manage tents at the festival should send notice to the Lady Chamberlain so that they may be attended to. 

 

The Investiture of the Lord of Alba

June 10 | 3pm EST

The occasion of Prince Henry’s formal investiture as his father’s heir and successor through the substantive title of the Lord of Alba. Upon the death of King Charles, King James assumed the title of King of Aaun instantaneously, as the Royal Throne may never sit empty - passing on the title of the Lord of Alba pending formal investiture.

 

Following the investiture, a rather short ceremony by comparison to that of the royal coronation; a ball is to be held in honour of Prince Henry. The White Rose Ball, titled after the Rose of Alba which is representative of the ruling house of Alstion, shall require its guests to dress accordingly with the name - donning the colour white as a primary piece of their ensemble. 

 

The Coronation of King James 

June 12 | 3pm EST 

To be held within the Temple of the Exalted Prophets, where His Majesty James is to be crowned by the Holy Pontiff Sixtus V. Following the coronation His Majesty shall address his people formally as the King of Aaun and following such will accept petitions from his people.
