In a quest to find a way to sleep and be woken up centuries later, he has cast himself in gold, but how he did this is beyond me. The point of this experiment was to see if his spirit could be extracted from the golden tomb after he had been cast. He tested this hypothesis on himself and paid dearly. Due to the nature of gold casting his spirit is now eternally trapped in the golden cocoon. He really should have done it on a mouse or rat first. His death marks the end of his family.
