After years of service to the Good Folk of Stran, it is with a heavy heart I must announce that I, Miklós Korvacz, am retiring as a Knight. My age has begun to catch up to me, and I am no longer the fighter that I was. I only hope that the younger generations may once more bolster the ranks of the Host.

On top of my retirement, I am officially passing my title of Baron to my eldest daughter, Xénia Korvacz. She shall now be known as Her Ladyship, Xénia Korvacz, Baroness of Kotovy. With that, I am also no longer the Patriarch of House Korvacz, making Xénia the new Matriarch.

Rozsika Korvacz sat at the dining table, calloused and aging hands diligently working on some personal craft. “Xénia will make a fine Baroness, leading Kotovy with the care and strength it deserves,” she spoke softly. “E y paj will get more time to rest e enjoy life with y, see his hard work pay off.” A win-win in Rozsika’s book!

Xénia Korvacz sat across from her father in silence as she would occasionally give him a nod or headshake in response to his common language writing. At some point the being sat across from him became being sat next to him, helping him figure out which colored ink to use for his signature as they practiced writing it to perfection upon a separate sheet of paper, her even toying around with her own.

"Y think it jest perfect, Papej...."

Eventually the ink had dried and the missive left the door. A new weight sat upon her shoulders and as daunting as it would seem, it wasn't as bad as an experience as she thought it might be. This wasn't abandonment, it was promotion and she would not be alone in the next steps of her life to figure it out. She still had her father, her mother, her siblings, and her fiance.

"How about a game of fetch...?"

A few older hounds had settled near the door, it being their usual outing time. She stepped away from the table with a content smile, her father now presumably in tow.

The Duke of Stran pens a letter to his father's close friend.

Dear Lord Korvacz,

Warm Regards,
