Ramon 3965 Share Posted February 2 AS ISSUED AND AGREED UPON ON THE 20TH DAY OF GODFREY’S TRIUMPH OF 1962 Between the Kingdom of Aaun and the Duchy of Brabant FOREWORDIt is by mutual respect and trust that great deeds are accomplished together. It is with these ideals the states of the Kingdom of Aaun and the Duchy of Brabant address and deal with one another, to build a mutually prosperous environment for traveller and pilgrim alike, upon which a solid foundation of cooperation will be constructed and maintained for many years to come. For such is the duty of those in seats of power, as bid by the faith. Thus, the following is agreed upon:ARTICLE I - RECOGNITIONThat the Kingdom of Aaun and the Duchy of Brabant, henceforth referred to as ‘the signatories’, recognise the righteous Canonist rule of each other’s domains forthwith. ARTICLE II - NON-AGGRESSIONThat the signatories pledge to adhere to principles of peace between each other, and, on the basis of sharing belief in the one true Canonist faith, shall not wage war upon one another or try to bring harm to the integrity of each other’s territories in any way, shape or form. ARTICLE III - INFRASTRUCTUREThat the signatories agree to construct a road between the royal city of Whitespire and the City of Lilenburg, through the valley of Mt. St Godwin, dubbed the Silver Road of St. Tobias, as well as establish a sea route between the signatories’ respective harbors. This is to ease of travel for pilgrims and missionaries, as well as to further promote trade among each other. And that, furthermore, the signatories agree to construct a chapel along the Silver Road of St. Tobias, dedicated to the aforementioned Saint, where travellers may find rest on their travels. Spoiler ARTICLE IV - TRAVEL & TRADEThat the signatories thus agree to allow free movement of their respective citizens between their territories, pledging further to freely provide traveling Canonist pilgrims and missionaries within their lands with hospitality, sanctuary and protection. For this purpose agreeing to work together to mutually patrol along the Silver Road upon its completion. And that, furthermore, the signatories agree to grant each other one stall in each other’s capital, free of tax, to further allow trade to flourish between them.ARTICLE V - EXTRADITION That the signatories pledge to aid one another in the case of extradition at given request and shall not lend any assistance to criminals sought after by either of their righteous governments. ARTICLE VI - DURATION That the signatories agree that, whereas the Silver Road shall forever stand the test of time, this specific agreement shall be in effect for a period of fifteen years, after which the parties shall convene again for renegotiations. Signed, His Royal Majesty, JOHN ALEXANDER, by the Grace of GOD, King of Aaun, Prince of Alstion, Duke of Vienne, the Lowlands, Balemena and Corazon, Count of Whitespire, Enswerp and Florentine, Baron of Blanchet, Protector of the Realm His Grace, Ser Sterling Blaxton-Whitewood, Duke of Brabant, Marquis of Lotusgrad, Baron of Blackwell, Lilenburg and Swan’s Keep, Lord of the Peaks, Protector of the Weefolk.
