_edplayer 15 Share Posted October 16, 2011 To all dwarfs: strict OOC post As many of you probably already know, brian horner has left the server. therefore i have tasked myself to pick up where he left of, of even better, to improve what he already made. this are the main ideas i will keep: Ideas So Far - NO DWARFS ABOVE GROUND - (updated to under clear sky, as they will have towers surround the city area, but they will be linked with caves) - Multiple giant gate entrances - Cavern Capital with other caverns for other sections - Housing build up into the cavern ( Higher class ) and below in the depths of the cavern ( Lower Class ) - Tomb for all those influential dwarfs lost - Visible void as endless depth (you fall in, you die) - Most sections integrated into the main one to keep traffic up (subways will be added) - Various mines to keep it as our main trade ( Mines at different ore qualities and quantities ) - Mountain Biome will bring a lack of trees promoting trade due to no tree farms - Bridges over the caverns and only way around are the bridges Me and my building team know that the best way to know how things look like in minecraft is by building them, well here are some screenshots for you :) feedback and ideas are welcome my team: Ljcreznfree19, mistarb, hiebe, Nairog, imilan, sandonthefloor, omithiel city name: see other topic current system is : 1 cavern for public area's including market, mine, temple,arena,forge,.... 1 for military district: keep, barracks, safe, prison,..... and the last one is not decided on yet sideways view first main gatehouse + eagle's nest in upper left corner eagle's nest road (1 way only atm, more entrances for different regions might be added main gate main gate other point of view main gate the way down, 2 sides, occasionally they combine, and the split again splitting after a combination lore and idea : far from definite or finished!!! The ancient lore: the lore for the dwarves itself will be unknown, when they find the city (name needed) it will be deserted, and slowly turning into a ruin they are free to occupy the city, but their will be certain area's hidden after a chain of events or a certain time)) 1 the library : first region to be found, will contain books the native dwarfs and their lore 2 the graveyard, a massive widespread graveyard containing the bodies of those who died of the curse, as well as the tomb to their leader, chest with bones will be under the graves, some also contain valuable loot. 3 the logs of events explaining more about the death of the previous inhabitants made by a wise man. 4 the death's breath... a cave discovered by the native dwarfs, right before they all died.... contains treasure and death (lots of death), will have enter notification so i can start an event, can only be found after the other 2 regions. if found by a small force, the dangers inside might push the dwarfs out of the city and force them to reconquer it. a certain action (not decided yet) must be preformed to halt the curse. native lore: still to be made up logs of events: has to be made up Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
