THE KHAZADMAR OATH

For too long has The Grand Kingdom of Urguan been the bickering of words, not the Kingdom of taking Action. We spend days, months, and even years trying to come to conclusions and outcomes by simply talking about them around a table or in a large chamber. Often, these ideas, a blessing given to us by Ogradhad to think, are thrown to the side after hours of conversation. Mouths flapping as we go nowhere and make no productive advancements.

As a leader of our Grand Kingdom, I know this will no longer be the case. Time will be given for ideas to brew, but we shall take action to make them a reality. To be a Khazad of my word, I shall declare all I will achieve during my time on the throne as a united front of all Khazadmar, not just those with Elder blood, but as a King dedicated to serving his people. Let my actions be my legacy, not my words.

RETURN TO THE ANCIENT WAYS

Let my words bring truth where others lie. As we move forward, the first action to be declared and taken will be the Act of Innovation. We will create a new Dwedmar world with a reignited industry. We aim to bring the ancient Khazadmar skills back into the light for all to see, idolize, and be awed by, as we are a people unmatched. I pledge my royal patronage to the guild that leads by example: the Guild of the Anvilmasters. Furthermore, I am a Khazad of business too, so I know what it is like to try to start up your own guild and enterprise. With that, I declare that I encourage the foundation of new guilds and cooperations to take place, offering my unwavering support to these new ideas as long as they are practical.

Second, I declare the revival of our Sacred Art, which was taught to Gotrek the Starbreaker by Yemekar himself. As you may have seen, I have taught many in the ways of Golemancy within Urguan, and even as a king, I will continue to do so. The golemancers shall be organized in such a way that it will be encouraged to teach our sacred craft to new aspiring Dwedki as the Loremaster Ogradhad teaches. Our crafts shall birth new Khorenmar, small and Titanic, into our society, bringing back the powerful bond of Khazad and Khoren just as we had in Ancient Times. Furthermore, I shall prioritize learning and growth of knowledge within the Kingdom.

That said, let it be known that we will push for this greater industry to take place with Kingdom projects to set in motion the construction of great engineering machines and the masonry of structures and constructs.

THE IRON ASSEMBLY

As King, I will always lend my ears to the people; however, the Iron Assembly is where I will listen closer to the Khazadmar of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. I shall, therefore, introduce the Iron Assembly as a public forum for all Dwarves modeled after past monarchs’ King’s Courts. Held on a yearly basis: it is at this forum that any royal decrees and laws shall be presented. Petitions may be made by any dwarf so that ideas or concerns can be raised directly with the King. It is at this assembly that feuds may also be arbitrated by the Crown to ensure the unity of the Khazadmar and the Grand King’s peace is maintained.

GOVERNMENT REFORM

The government has always been rusty regarding upholding responsibilities. To resolve this, I will reconstruct the round table and define the Permanent and Honorary positions within the council. Furthermore, the Articles and Laws of our Kingdom have grown old and outdated, written for a time long past. My government will work to review the Articles and Laws and have them redrafted for the new age we find ourselves in.

Within the same realm of government, I will work to establish various methods to raise revenue within the Kingdom and develop a largely more efficient and effective currency for our society with the help of others of my choosing.

CITY RENOVATIONS

Thanks to the work and labor of the Urguani construction team led by Thazzaer Grandaxe, we have come to live in a magnificent city. However, it is still incomplete, so we must work together to carry out the construction with new additions in mind. The first shall be the expansion of the Guildhalls, where new and growing guilds can settle in to advance their industry. Next, we will expand the city's living quarters to accommodate our ever-growing population, with a new housing area for Yrommar to free up space for the dwarves. Then, we will construct a Grand Arena to honor Dungrimm while the Legion Hall will be receiving a sizable renovation effort to house more soldiers and provide new facilities. We shall also begin the construction of space for Clan Halls so the Clans can organize themselves more efficiently. Lastly, we will expand the great forge of the Khazadmar and build a new Foundry for golems to reward the growing number of Golemancers within our society.

LAND REFORM

With the City Renovation Act, we must also focus on the lands surrounding our glorious Kingdom. The realm of Khazadmar shall be divided into three districts.

The first district shall be The Capital city of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, which will become the administrative center.

The second district shall be the King’s Personal domains, extending to the Caverns of Kal’Kladian and the Fjordlands as a frontier province managed directly by the Legion.

The third district shall be the crownlands. Within this district, qualified clans may be granted land by the Crown to construct a hold for themselves once their members have completed the Census and complied with Masonry regulations to ensure the construction meets quality standards. The Village of Hefrumm will be granted renewed autonomy by affirming its longstanding constitution.

DIPLOMACY

I will otherwise work hard to establish alliances based upon trust and friendship, not cynical interest. Alliances built on strategic interest are likely to break, so they are not worth engaging in. On the other hand, agreements built upon friendship are nearly unbreakable, even in the face of destruction. We Khazadmar must uphold this ideal to demonstrate not only that our word is strong but that our fidelity to our allies is stronger; it must not be mistaken for weakness.

Our previous King, Thurgrim Silverbraid, saw the need for a united front among our allies against the impending Azdrazi threat. This work must be continued, with a concordat of descendants organized amongst the Western nations unified in one goal—to resist the darkness that lies to the far north. With the treacherous Aengul abandoning Aevos, we must stand strong together against the Dragons and their allies and pursue the divinely sanctioned destruction of the Red Lich Gashadokuro and his forces.

A Frosted dwarf kept himself busy in the forge, hammering away at another project that wasn't really worth the effort. Every swing of his sturdy tool a step further to a more pleasant outcome. His forge assistant then came to deliver Ulfar's glorious plans for the dwarves.

"A better Urguan isn't made within a stone day.. -" Snaer Frostbeard gasped after reading all of Ulfar's roadmap. A sparkle of hope appeared in his icy-blue eyes, right as Snaer started to lose faith in the last King and his council.

"But by Yemekar did Ulfar start off well."

An old Agnar Grandaxe, the 35th Grand King of Urguan, nods in approval of Ulfar's campaign. "D'is a dwed d'at I know has d'e work ethic to set d'ings back on track once more. My prayers to Yemekar goes to you and my fellow dwedmar."
