PREAMBLE

As so far as The River Court should revere the river Petra, as source to life in the Commonwealth, so should all subjects of the Garmont Throne. It is our deference to honour our sacred river that makes us the river realm; knightly, blest and revered are we.

The true people of the river are the fish, oft-dinner for many a Petran, but also staple of glorious feasts. A grand cod served at the highest of tables and considered highly for its hearty properties, has been treasured by the Petra for many years. Since our inception it has been the sworn duty of Petrans to defend their river.

So with distinction for our cultured river, the courts have held a fishing bout, to name the King-Fisher. The winner was named as such, and shall be graced as the greatest of fishermen in the Commonwealth, until unseated by one greater.

THE KING-FISHER

Rain upon their backs, the brave Petrine anglers, made head for the river docks of Chambery wherein they held their contest. Few came, but still spirits were high for minae prizes, and most notably, the honorific of King-Fisher was up for gain.

Contest well fought by each fisher-contender, only one could bear the title of the best. So upon judgements by the Grand Chamberlain himself and the slimmest of margins, the boy named Wymar af Brasca, brother to Pirzifal, was named King-Fisher. His Fishy Majesty, will hold this epithet until a contest is held anew and a new King-Fisher may rise to the challenge.

No netted fishing was used in these events, and all fish protections were followed after, in accordance with archaic and new Petine laws. Ave Petra!
