"Seems something has escaped mein mind, what did those Raven men want war for again?" pondered the aged Wilheim Barclay as he spent the majority of the night staring at the relevant missive from the eastern bunch of warmongers. It wasn't until his personal servant returned to him the following morning that anyone noticed the paper in his hands, now ruined by the former Prince's excessive drool causing the ink to run down the supposed justifications. "Ich suppose we'll never know." He concluded.

Adalfriede, the Princess of Minitz, stood on the high walls of Kretzen looking out over the Ferdenwald. Far, so very far from the rest of Canondom, but the Reinmaren had made the long march from the lands of Aaun before, and they would do it again, dozens of warbands sent in the defence of the Holy Mother Church. So she would stand vigil on the walls, watching and waiting until it was time to take up her spear.

"A greater mercy than these northerners deserve, for having sent Daelishman to try rob Church inquisitors while hunting Shadowspawn," Villorik grit his teeth. In the southern lands, Queen Lavanya read the document with discerning eyes. "The duty of a monarch is to the safety and prosperity of their people, and to the church which they have vowed to serve. Whatever grievances they may still hold, should be placed aside for their peoples benefit. What has been done is done. Should they raise a blade yet, they break the sanctity on which they stand as a land which touts their affirmations of the church." she placed the letter down, looking to the side at her son @Andustar "Always remember this, for when you succeed us and hold the lives of many in your hands, my dearest child."

"I shan't forget, Matera," John assured her, already bearing the weight of days to come. "I swear it."

Ser Anselm Barclay read the missive with a wide smile. "Reinmar will always answer with sword and fire when the heathen threatens the sanctity of Canondom." He crumpled the missive as he went to sharpen his blade for the battles to come.

Wilhelmina Barclay took her seat beside her father. She watched him prepare his weapons for battle, knowing that soon she too would take up the spear in the name of the Tribe and the Church.
