THE BIRTH OF A PRINCE NECESSITATES A BAPTISM INSIDE THE BASILICA OF SAINT JOREN AND THE BROKEN CHAINS WITH A SUBSEQUENT CELEBRATION IN THE PALACE. With the joyous news that His Serene Highness Karl Frederik has entered the world safely and survived his earliest state of sickness to emerge strong and healthy, a formal baptism is required for the Grand Prince of Kusoraev. Afterwards there will be food and celebration held by the Royal Court in the royal residence, the Kastell Lesanov. The schedule for the day will be as follows:

 

I. BAPTISM

The baptism will be administered in accordance with the Jorenic Rite. Every man, woman and child of the Canonist faith is required to wash away worldly sin and ensure their ascension to the Skies in the model of Exalted Horen himself in the Grotto of Gamesh at the hands of the Aengul Tesion. This is every bit as important for high and low born alike with His Serene Highness being no exception. The Grand Prince Karl will be pledged to the Canonist faith in the Basilica of Saint Joren and the Broken Chains to be conducted by Patriarch Villorik of the Patriarchate of Jorenus.

 

II. CELEBRATION

Following the baptism, there will be a large celebration of the new life and of the promise made on his behalf to adhere to the Canonist faith. An assortment of Haeseni and Waldenian food will be provided as well as drinks from the local breweries so that a toast may be made to the health and future of the Grand Prince. Entertainment will be provided in the form of limericks, jesters, bobbing for apples, and a bratwurst eating competition in honour of the Queen and Grand Prince’s kinship with the Reinmaren. A token of the royal family’s esteem will be given to every attendee in the form of a commemorative silver cross marking the special occasion. The gathering will be held in the inner and outer ballrooms within the royal palace, Kastell Lesanov.
