In the many years since we mortal warriors took up the sword and the spear in the name of the most valiant patron, the Aengul of Courage, many of our kind have fallen while warring against the Darkness Everlasting. A few of their number already hold places of honor in the Great Hall of Minas Aranath, though I would sooner raise tribute to more than just these venerated few with whom my family has interacted with. While currently, Númenost the Fair finds herself busied with setting the East to order, at the war’s conclusion, I would see a great memorial to our fallen brothers and sisters raised, so their names might never be forgotten, nor their deeds unsung. To this end, I send this letter to the Kings and Chieftains of all realms wherein Malchediael’s Warhost resides, and I ask of them this, a record of their fallen Templars, along with basic biographical information such as their name, their titles, their honored deeds, and means of their death. Furthermore, if an image of their likeness exists, such as a statue or painting, I request it, or a copy of it be sent so that it might be placed upon the Templar’s memorial.
