Elaine knew coming here was going to be a mistake, she would be an idiot if she didn’t know that this would be the very cause of her demise. Yet, there she stood, staring at the gates of the city, the gates very unwelcoming to her. She was one of the reasons their gates were kept closed, she knew that much, the thought making her snicker. Stepping forward she eyed the woman who let her in the first gate, immediately she could tell she was a daughter of Luis, exactly who she was looking for, “I am looking for the children of Luis.” She would say simply, knowing she was speaking to one, yet didn’t want to assume anything. The princess before her, princess Valencia asked her who she was, “I am the one who killed your father. My name is Angelika.”

The princess stared at her, likely wondering why Elaine had come here. Was she here to laugh at her, to torment her more even after all these years. In fact, she was here to make it right, to confess what she had done. She wished to speak to her, perhaps see if this woman was anything like her father, kind, warm? And so she led Elaine into the city, taking her to the palace as her eyes wandered and her thoughts raced. ‘Why am I here?’ She thought to herself, why was she doing this? Boredom, that’s why. Finally they walked over to a small pond just outside the palace, her eyes settling on Valencia as they stood there. She had the same nose as Luis, the resemblance was most certainly there.

For minutes they spoke, Valencia asking her what she wanted, why she did what she did. Elaine knew it was merely because she could, it was an opportunity and she took it, his death wasn’t planned, but Valencia’s was. Standing here today, one of them was going to die. And as the princess turned her back, Elaine did not think twice before she moved closer, her steps gentle and barely audible. She lifted a hand, the nails on her fingers growing into claws as she grabbed onto the princess’ shoulders to turn her around, slashing at her face. Soon she could see the blood dripping from her cheek and before she could admire it her hair was grabbed at. She clawed at Valencia, her claws once more digging into her skin as she grabbed her and flung them both into the pond to the side. That was her mistake, she fell first. Now she was underneath the bigger woman, and she struggled to get free. Valencia’s hands gripped at Elaine’s throat as she suffocated her. Due to this she gasped for breath, yet was greeted with a mouth full of water which made her choke.

This was it, this was how her long life was going to come to an end. Once again she got greedy, trying to be someone she is not, and she will pay for it with her life. Slowly her vision started to fade to black, she wasn’t fighting back anymore as water filled her lungs and slowly her body gave in. Would this have ended differently even if she did not attack the princess? Would she have left with her life to spare? It seems she’ll never know, now it was too late. Valencia felt Elaine going limp, the bloodied princess could finally get herself out of the pond, the vampire simply floating in the water. All you could see in the murky waters was strands or red hair and rich green fabrics floating to the top.

She had lived countless lives under borrowed names. Each disguise had been a shield, a necessity to survive the suspicion of those around her, yet with every new identity she left fragments of herself behind, pieces she could no longer recover. Once a vibrant child, ended up as a distant echo of her original self. If only she could go back to when times were simpler, before the world forced her to change, before it turned her cold. Yet here she lied, floating in a red tinted pond, murky and cold, lifeless. She had so many chances, yet the only good she did was bring her children into the world, and all she could hope for is that they do not turn out like her.

"The wicked finds its watery grave," A chapter is closed in the woman's life, as her father's murderer finds their death. "Drain the pond, lest her mere presence poisons the waters."

Julieta remembered, albeit vaguely, the day she was told of her father's passing. The day she had lost both her parents. "Where is Papa?" The six year old Princess had asked, "Why is he with Mama now? What about us?"

Now grown, the woman let out a sigh and rubbed at her forehead in attempt to dismiss a headache. The memories of her parents were so few, and they were fading. Was this closer? Did it matter? It was justice, at least, and that would have to suffice for Julieta, as there was very little for her to miss in the first place.

A young girl sat unconsolable upon the porch of her home; a tear-stained letter clutched in her hands as it'd crinkle within her grip. She did not move for hours; oodles of snot ran along her upper lip as her eyes would strain red from her endless tears. Her eyes would scan the letter once again, heart sinking upon every word. "There is no life to love without you, Mama..."  She'd utter resolutely in her heartbreak, a Sorvian-Newt waddling up beside her then and leaning against her, as it'd give her a hug. Though she'd weep forevermore.

Valencia had been brought down with Elaine into the pond, by the grace of God she wound up on top of her even if they were both under the water's surface and arms were wrapped around her body.. Her limbs were free and shot up to grasp for the throat of the woman who killed her father. She would not allow her life to be taken here today, thus, she squeezed as hard as she could. Her Padre would be avenged here or she would die trying, adrenaline coursed through her veins so she didn't feel the searing pain in her right forearm from the claws that had dug into her moments ago when they were on the pond's bank.

She screamed something out into the liquid around them, only she and Dios knew what her words were, water didn't replace the air in her lungs though as by that point Elanie's grip loosened, she was able to sit up.. but this only made Valencia's grow tighter, her knuckles going pale from the force she didn't know she had. Her eyes were shut as she finished the job. Only when the form below her grew limp did she open them to gaze upon the person below, her hands still wrapped about her neck.. Blood flowing from her cheek and gushing from her arm. The water dyed a light crimson hue, murky from the earth that had been kicked up in the fray. Had it really been that easy to take a human life? She stared in disbelief at what she had just done. So many thoughts in her head. The pain started to sink in, her tunnel vision fading though she was still dazed. She needed to head to the clinic..

The Hyspian Princess clumsily got up, practically tripping over her skirts. Leaving the body to float there, just till she could find someone who could take care of it for her, she didn't have the strength needed to move a corpse like that. She dragged her wet-rat-looking self out of the palace gardens, her tiara slipped from her head much like when she was a child. Her feet brought her down the steps where she could find help.
