Written and Issued by Georgiana Wick

2005 || Year 5 of the RAT

❖———————✞———————❖

It was a cold, windy and downtrodden day. There was much to discuss, as the last Moot happened 14 years prior.

The Wicks gathered around the large dining table in Cliffhaven hall, Enswerp - unable to moot on in their own land due to construction. The new Wickwald, nestled within the Holy regency is hidden among Alba and Enswerp, a shroud of both mystery and beauty.

12 were present, some old, some new. This gathering showed great promise to the revival of the Wick-folk.

After personal grievances against one-another were shared, as is tradition, the Grand Wick Georgiana Wick stood from her seat,  to begin the proceedings of the moot.

The first order of business was to discuss the name of the new Wicktown.

Each Wick was allowed to cast out ideas, and in turn, were allowed to vote for more than one name. Names of the following were considered: Glimtown, Broomtown, Spudsburg, Wickleton, Wickleton, Warwick. To come to the name of the town, as Wicks do, they vote in a democratic manner. There were three rounds of voting, less Wicks voting in the later rounds.

The final Vote results are as follows:

Broomtown: 4

Warwick: 4

Broomtown was voted to be the new name of the town. Broom Wick, who proposed the name initially, was ecstatic.

The second order of business was to discuss the contents of the town, if there was anything specific a Wickfolk would like to see in the town, now dubbed “Broomtown”. Ideas such as the following were provided:

  1. Rat Pits
  2. Free-Range Rats
  3. A gingerbread house for Spuds
  4. A school-house
  5. A Library
  6. “Wickmart”
  7. A cave

These wonderful ideas are all being put to consideration.

The third order of business was to discuss if there should be another Grand Wick election. While it may be assumed that a Grand Wick is for life - this is untrue. The Grand Wick is a democratically elected position, the Wicks being akin to  the pioneers of democracy, of course. Kuvnag’Ungri’Wick said that he wished for another election! So as Wicks do, they organized themselves in a practiced manner to vote once more. In Wick elections, every person present is offered a vote.

The vote Results are as follows:

Kuvnag’Ungri’Wick: 1

Georgiana Wick: 5

Spuds Wick: 4

Georgiana Wick Remains Grand Wick.

A Note from the Grand Wick

I would like congratulate the new Wick, Fionn Wick. For he has taken upon himself to complete the oath and trial to become one of us. He is Wick.

I would also like to extend my praise to Ser Charles “The ReKindled” af the Wickwald. This night is the first Shepard since the Acre rebellion!

It has been a hard time for the rats. Over the past year, the Wick-folk have faced much adversity from the outside world. Thanks to Goran Wick, the Wickfolk now have a place to call their own. We have faced much hardship, but we will prevail. In our new home, there will always be a bed for the misunderstood rat.

We’re Not Done Yet.

Spuds leaned back as he reclines on his pile of candy and hoard of trinkets. Sliding his sugar sight goggles over his eyes as he looked forward to the future of WIIICCCKKKKKKK
