VA BIRODEO HERZENAV AG ELDERVIK,

The House of Valkonen had risen quickly through the ranks during the reign of King Aleksandr II, even so far as to become Barons of Svargrad. But while their efforts had been diligent, they lasted only a short time, and House Valkonen faded from relevancy.

This was relevancy, however, has since been restored, and the House of Valkonen is now known within many of the institutions of Haense, from providing diligent soldiers, astute statesmen in the Royal Duma, courtiers of the Lesanov, and even providing us our current Patriarch of Jorenus. It seems that House Valkonen is truly on the up and up. This restored and well-adapted House Valkonen has truly become one that is present in all matters of our society.

The House of Valkonen has remained in limbo within our nobility, existing as an Edler of the Kingdom. However, the Crown sees it fit to make it no longer so. Therefore, the Crown does elevate the House of Valkonen to nobility proper, and enfeoff them the Barony of Karoswald, which shall be granted to Evelina Irena Valkonen ( @Emmmm). The Crown has the utmost confidence in the continued diligence and prowess of the House of Valkonen, and hope that the years shall be kind to them as Lords and Ladies proper of Haense.

Evelina Irena sat on the couch in the Valkonen home, the missive held carefully in her hands. She stared at the words, her heart beating a little faster as the title Baroness seemed to settle in her mind. It was hard to believe—after everything, this was her reality now. Her eyes lingered on the words, recalling the long nights, the doubts, and the quiet determination that had kept her going when it all seemed impossible

She traced the edges of the missive, her mind drifting toward the
future. She knew the weight of the title wasn’t just hers to bear. Tomasz, ( @garentoft) her soon-to-be husband, would be at her side, sharing in the responsibilities, the decisions, and the work it would take to lead. The thought of him with her—strong, steady, and equally committed—gave her a quiet sense of peace.

Taking a deep breath,
Evelina whispered the title aloud, Baroness Evelina Irena Valkonen... It felt strange, but it also felt right. She wasn’t alone in this. With Tomasz, she was ready to face whatever came next, sharing the burdens, the joys, and the future of the barony together.

Patriarch Alaric, normally the picture of composure, cried tears of Joy. He knew  beyond his deepest fears, his deepest doubts, that his mother was truly smiling down upon him from the heavens. Songs of celebration echoed through the Basilica of St. Joren, and carried out into the plaza..

At home, with her heart warmed by the laughter in the fireplace, Silvya skimmed through the letter. Her duty to the family had been fulfilled and her family's wishes were finally realized. She tossed the letter into the fire, smiling gently into the starry night.

"Evelina, I hope the best for you. For both of us, make Hauchmamej proud." Then she suited up with her greatsword and armor and went out into the darkness.
