To Reconcile

Esteemed Princes and Prelates, and all the Faithful who lend your eyes to this missive. I beseech you to forgive whatever naivety I will undoubtedly reveal over the course of this writing, for I am but a mere Acolyte of the Faith and it is with great pain and humility that I stumble along this path of virtue.

 

We stand today at a critical juncture in the history of Canondom, a moment of unprecedented division between the Holy Church and the Princes of men entrusted with earthly power and prerogative. The strife we currently face threatens the very heart of Humanity, though all is not woe. There are voices calling for healing, for reconciliation, and for the restoration of peace between the sacred and the secular.

 

Let us look to the wisdom of the Scroll of Virtue, where it is written: 

 

“And I am the Lord GOD without peer, and My trials are the holy trials, and My cure is the virtuous cure, and all the reliefs of the Virtue are open to the righteous forbearer.”

Virtue 5:10

 

These blessed words speak to us of the trials we will come to endure in this world, trials that, though difficult, are holy in their purpose and redemptive in their nature. They are not meant to break us, but to refine us and to call us closer to GOD. Though there may be dark days ahead, a clear way forward presents itself, and this is the practice of virtue. The reliefs of Virtue, promised to the righteous forbearer, are available to all who seek to end this dispute.

 

This moment of conflict, though grave, can act as a force for good if we seek reconciliation rather than further division. The breaches in Canon Law espoused by the Church and the disagreements between the Princes and the Church, need not lead to lasting separation and war. Instead, we are called to approach each other with humility, understanding, and a willingness to forgive, especially for the sake of our Church.

 

“There can be no laxity in faith for any reason, not war nor peace, not wealth nor poverty.”

Spirit 2:13

 

I urge the Princes of the realm and the Bishops of the Church to lay down the weapons of pride and accusation, and instead extend the hand of peace. The hand of GOD cannot be used as a weapon against the Faithful. We are all servants of the same divine purpose, whether we wear the Crown or the Mitre. The Church, through its guidance in virtue, and the Princes, through their earthly responsibility, both have a sacred role to play in the service of GOD and His people.

 

Let us restore to Canondom its foundations of unity, virtue and holiness whilst heartily embracing the virtues of patience, wisdom, and love.

 

May GOD guide us all on this holy path of reconciliation.
