A blur and time passed, and upon entering Lemon Hill, she felt little of God’s presence. She heard the men in the room debate how they would carve her home and what pieces would go where. It was then she lost her belief.

And as the Norns helped the Princess bury her books deep within the confines of Solgaard, she began to question if such a God existed.

[!] Father Drusco sends Ipera a brief thesis he wrote on the nature of "Evil" (nonetheless, he does not agree that any evil has been done in this case) and why God must permit it for the world to function.

Philippa Kovachev stood at the edge of the courtroom like a forgotten shadow, her gaze trailing after Princess Ipera as she departed with the Norns. The air was thick with the dying heat of argument. Haeseni lords shouted like cornered hounds, their voices sharp and bitter, bouncing off the stone walls like thrown daggers. From her place below the dais, the courtroom spun, not from movement, but from the sudden vacuum left behind, as though the center of the world had shifted and left her standing off-balance in the wake. Yet beneath the ache in her chest, a quiet thread of hope hummed. She would see Ipera again. Of this, she was certain.

Ljúfvina found herself gawking in that typical haze of the prior princess, arms often hung at her flank in an idle stance. It was soon after that she made the routine effort of delivering small candies and treats to that woman at the least, as to give her something to savor during ironically a most unsavory time. to savor during ironically a most unsavory time. For surely everyone enjoyed honeyed candies and goat cheese.
