HIRING SERVANTS AND MAIDS

 

To whom it may concern. I, Felipe Dominique Carnelle, am seeking to hire both men and women to manage my estate and to tend to my personal needs. It is in my best interest to hire the most capable and willing for such a position. Ideally, I wish to hire at least one nanny/maid which will tend to my son's future offspring and which will manage the cleaning of the home. My second need would be a butler, a regular servant whose job would be to prepare food for family and guests, who will most importantly help us out with any job that needs doing. The salary is negotiable, I am ready to pay fairly and respectfully.

I will also make it clear that I do not care about your culture and place of origin. This is all fine as long as you do not seek to steal from me or consume my flesh whilst I am sleeping. Additionally I plan to secure you a place in which you will be able to sleep and dwell inside the manor so that you remain close to your job.

OOC: LOOKING FOR CHILD PLAYERS AS WELL

 

Let me be perfectly clear about two things! Firstly this is OOC, but it is still very important. Secondly I do not wish to adopt as of now. These will need to be brand new characters. I'm looking for people who are willing to play Felipe's grandchildren (if you wish to know a bit about the family dynamic scroll down) to be more exact Julius' children. As of now Julius is unmarried, but that could soon change. I cannot exactly give you a date when you can begin playing which I am sorry for, but I will keep in touch with you and "experiment" with you if you have any character ideas you want to throw at me. 

We plan to name our offspring in the sense that they all have a very romance styled name and that their middle names have to come from their parents (Boys get theirs from the dad, Girls from their mum) 

If you plan to play a boy your name will most likely look like: "XYZ Julius Carnelle"

The father's side of the family has green and brown eyes, with dark brown to light brown hair. Their skin is somewhat pale. They don't really speak in an accent, but they sometimes they can use a word from Spanish / Italian if something happens out of the blue.

As of now there are 3 slots for potential children. Go wild!

Family History:  It is said that the family finds its origins in the village of Solevento. Their ancestors were the so-called "Arditi Brothers," about whom history knows little, apart from the fact that they lived there. Eventually, a man by the name of Felipe Dominique "Pincelar," who was a son of an Arditi, married a local wealthy woman named Julia Carnelle. They had one child, a son named Julius.
 

After a decade had passed, Julia suddenly died from an illness, leaving Felipe heartbroken and deeply saddened. The event had a strong impact on the father-son relationship, which had only just begun to properly form between him and Julius.
 

Another decade passed, and Felipe was still not over the death of his one and only love. This led him down a path of alcoholism and general life degradation. Thankfully, he was saved by his son's intervention, who helped him quit the habit. After his recovery, Felipe began painting like never before. He became an artisan for the Viscount of Falkenstein, and soon his works were being sold widely. Meanwhile, Julius began to write and create literature. Additionally, he also learned how to tailor and carve.
 

In just a few short years, the family ( now taking the name of their long-lost wife and mother, Carnelle) bought a piece of land and built a proper manor, finally leaving their home village of Solevento. Now a wealthy man, Felipe seeks to do his best for his grandchildren, his family, and the community. As it seems now, the future of this lineage could be bright...

A parchment arrives, darkly elegant, its ink shimmering faintly crimson beneath the light. The wax seal bears a sigil  a scorched spiral entwined with a thorned crown. The handwriting is refined, deliberate, and far older than its recipient.

 

To the Esteemed Felipe Dominique Carnelle,

 

So... the manor stands. Brick and bone, coin and cause  all assembled neatly in your name. I see you've taken to shaping your domain with purpose, and ambition dressed in silk. There is a certain poetry to it.

 

 how far you've come — and yet, I wonder still

 

What cost did the ink of your name demand?

 

It pleases me, truthfully, to witness this ascent. It is no small thing to climb without slipping. But as you polish silver and call servants to your gates, remember the hand that steadied your back when the world turned away. Remember who made the soil fertile beneath your feet.

A seed I once placed in quiet shadow.
