Issued and averred by the office of the

IMPERIAL CROWN

 

 

✠ HEED, LEAL SONS OF HOREN;

 

. . . and have it be known by our Imperial Writ that Prince Edward & Princess Cecily of the House of Alstion is henceforth, in perpetuity through the will of the Crown, afforded the stewardship of the lands of the Lowlands - hereinafter referred to as only ‘coronet’ - through the instrument of vassalage, bearing the title of Archduke of Alba.

 

It is for the reason of their loyalty and aptitude in the war of the coalition, their desire to protect the lowlands, their aptitude and ability in supporting the furtherance of the Empire of Man, and that we deem the Archduke of Alba of the sobriety and sound mind necessary for bearing the responsibility of this coronet.

 

The rights of vassalage are recognized and confirmed forthwith upon the promulgation of this instrument, afforded now and to Prince Edward & Princess Cecily, Archduke and Archduchess of Alba’s generations, passing the title, lands, and coronet to a designated heir at the time of death, abdication, or otherwise. 

 

The obligations of vassalage are inscribed to be compulsory for now and all ages, unless they are amended by strictly written and promulgated consent of the Emperor, to be as thus;

 

✠ Collect and administer taxes, be it over land, housing or commerce within their coronet,

✠ Uphold law and peace within their coronet, in accordance to Imperial and local laws,

✠ Pay the negotiated tribute to the Imperial Crown,

✠ Counsel and advice in times of peace,

✠ And raise levies, donate weaponry, and make resources available in the Empire’s defence.

 

Let it be known, henceforth;

 

 

Prince Edward & Princess Cecily of the House Alstion

Archduke of Alba, Counts of Enswerp and Thesmer, Barons of Placentia, Lords of Elizabeth, Defenders of the Godwinites,

Protectors of the Franklands, Patriarchs of the Johannian Dynasty, etcetera.
