I think from an in character perspective, Adunians pulling a 180 from Scottish mace-catching freaks to super clean and posh Malch lovers is a really interesting story beat. I was lucky to have an adunian while that change was happening, 10/10 roleplay experience.

 

IRL, The Late Antiquity Era. Basically-when Rome was really weak to the beginning of the dark ages. Bandits were a huge problem, and basically ruled Europe, and we get a window into what happens to the regular person when society breaks down. (Its not good)
