Protect us, Sillumiran, for something lurks in the shadows..

It is without a doubt that the Silver City of Haelun’or have made quite the unlikely partnership. Alongside these new allies those of the Motherland delved recently and without peril into a dungeon-like sprawl of rooms and puzzles, located within what a mysterious figure dubbed The Seventh Gate. Behind the titan of stone that was sealed shut for centuries or even millenia were unseen and untouched rooms and corridors of which fruited artefacts of mediocre power, but much historical value.

Artefacts

Found by Valazaer Calith,

Plates brimming with some form of residual potency of deific origins. Our scholars speculate whether these plates themselves were magical, made with magic, or simply imbued due to being in the presence of some powerful creature.

Some strange form of metal plates, it was found that these could be used to magically seal holes in pierced plate armour, raising questions of why those within would need such an asset: that perhaps assaults with those that could pierce armour were not rare.

Found by Thalis,

Half of a Tarot Deck, a fascinating find suggesting that Tarots have existed within Aevos for much longer than first believed, and potentially the current version merely a shadow of the potency of foresight that Oracles used in the ancient past.

A sword made of stone, interesting to say the least, it is possible the stone itself was empowered and wieldable unlike it is now, or perhaps whatever could wield such a blade cared little for the weight.

Notable Events

The initial meeting with our partners for this venture were tense and full of mild argumentative discourse; we were met by a figure named ‘Eryndor’ who seems to be some form of capable entity not of descendent but something higher. They had been the one who with a mere snap of their fingers opened the titanic gateway laid before us all.

After quelling the initial upset, we found utility in our new allies, who provided protection and even lighting for us all as we entered. They all appeared capable and potent beings who akin to us Mali’aheral were no strangers to dungeon delving and have promised to uphold the tender truce between our people until whatever foe we face has been overcome.

One Mali’thill, had been recklessly messing with strange levers and inadvertently escaped with fellow Mali’aheral and our adventuring party: A very dangerous exit that left some of our kin behind. This action seems initially a mistake, and actions to rectify it for future excavations are being looked into.

Apparently some creature: who boiled beneath the waters had also escaped through this exit: It seems as if it was unavoidable, and measures to locate and plan to combat it are underway: it seems it would have escaped regardless of the actions of the Mali’thill mentioned prior, and its form and figure is unknown as of yet.

The initial vast room showed signs of previous venture, several tents that stood out from the cavern seemingly were from previous adventurers, how they got in or left is beyond us, or perhaps these were those who had remained behind when it was sealed to tend to the grounds before they too ceased to be with time.

Many of us Mali’aheral took note of some titanic hammer, the size of two descendents at least if not more. This hammer seemingly spoke and had some low form of sentience, and after solving how to unlock further conversation we had uncovered useful information from it: however nothing of who bore such a titanic tool.

Something is within the water, we can only speculate on what had been unleashed.

On Puzzles

The front gate itself was sealed with potent aenguldaemonic energy and even still those within the Seventh Gate still saw it necessary to have numerous puzzles and defenses within, perhaps suggesting the necessity of security of whatever artefact or thing laid behind those ancient doors that stood like monoliths in the mountainface.

Initial entry revealed a hallway, which required numerous gems that served as keys of some kind to open an immovable stone doorway, which upon correctly inserting them into facets found within the door had opened such a gateway.

A set of lecterns stood within a desolate vast room which clearly was in disrepair, there atop the lecterns stood books that were clear other than words written on specific pages of the paper. It was then discovered that speaking the words aloud activated some sort of enchanted mechanism which our people had solved to reveal some form of spire.

This unfortunately is the end of the report so far, many of those brave Mali’aheral who ventured within to the depths of this dungeon are also writing their own work, in much further and personal detail. It is still unfinished, this venture, and our alliance with our unlikely allies is sure to continue. Further ventures are intended to be underway, we are already rectifying the mistakes made in our previous delve and to organise some form of structure to our people as we had faced the needed departure of several leading figures. Furthermore projects are being made and small scouting boats are being sent out to locate such a creature, with many brave Mali’aheral and those of not ‘thill blood taking to the seas to see where this lurking shadow is as of right now.

The Seventh Gate’s secrets are left uncovered, our people shall return, with more curiosity and force than before. elMaehr’sae demands it. And our people require it if they wish to survive.

Expect more reports to come from fellow blessed citizens of Haelun'or, for they all have had unique and interesting perspectives which may potentially help all of you in the future.

A small letter; carefully shut with the wax seal of the Silver State of Haelun’or, arrived for Acalmaehr Calith with the help of a familiar Sillumir.

To Sohaer Acalmaehr Calith,

This letter is written for the Sohaer’s eyes only. Please read with caution of your surroundings.

I write to report a suspected impure of the name [REDACTED] who during the expedition eagerly spilt his mali’aheral blood in place of the lessers present. [REDACTED]’s demeanour and enthusiastic cooperation with our favoured friends and their many ineffectual experiments caused many to wonder about his allegiance.

In these critical hours, as we prepare for the worst, we mustn't permit agents of pestilence to spread rot in our midst. Though the excursion must be considered a success as evident from the accounts presented, we must watch our favoured friends with caution, and examine the influence they may exert upon the children of silver.

I ask that [REDACTED]’s connection to our favoured friends be further investigated and the full record of his previous involvement in the attacks and hostility upon the Motherland is reviewed.

The Seventh Gate belongs to us, and we will find whatever secrets it holds. Room by room, hall by hall, we reclaim what is ours.

After reading this paragraph, the sand atronach glared towards a certain elf who may, or may not have been responsible of such unfavorable turn of events.

One of those unlikely allies would be very upset if he could read this due to the realization of how many details the Silver 'Thill left out. Thankfully, what the report contains is contained within the Silver City - a place he hasn't visited in at least a decade.

Instead in some other corner of the world, where winds howl and the ocean laps closer and closer.. Towering shadows dance across walls as that infernally touched 'aheral keeps to himself. Paintings of the hammer, and the Artifice covering the walls as he tried to make anything of the expedition with dread staining ink a deeper black.
