A Holy Knight read this missive, nodding along to some of the words and shaking his head at others. Still, he remained quiet — he had been on the wrong side of history before, and was in no position to speak up on the matter. He would remain as an arm — a weapon — of the church, not a mouth.

Estevot was proud that there were still people fighting against the evils and hypocrisy of the Empire and how it has damaged both the faith and the spirit of humanity. 

 

Maddock Tam smiled as he read this. "Wise words."

Fr. Witmar glanced toward his cousin, Bishop Godfrey, hands tucked behind his back.

 

“Something’s off in these times, cousin. I don’t know if it is the way people speak and behave today, or the way some clergy carry themselves lately… but I certainly know that these words do make sense.”

A Lotharian, who's faith continues to slowly slip away, reads over the missive while attending to her new born. Her head tilted, recalling the day the Tar and the enemy military had captured her in her very city. "I hope that brother of mine is well..."

Miroslaw Jazlowiecki DISTINCTLY remembers his Balianite countrymen being labelled as paranoid for predicting this EXACT development, often by some of the signatories to this belated reform movement.
