zuziee 4004 Share Posted July 13, 2025 A friendship born of sisterhood is not easily lost. Those are the words Philippa might have spoken to Johanna; had the woman not vanished on that Lotharian day, and if she herself had not died mere months later. It was a quiet tragedy that their paths never crossed again.
Frawlic 1602 Share Posted July 13, 2025 The news traveled slowly, and it was late in reaching Dima's ears. With so many losses, she felt as though she had lost the ability to mourn properly, though still, she felt regret for this one. They should have spoken more, she should have tried more, and she would miss her in the lack of a familiar face in passing.
Morigung-oog 5697 Share Posted July 13, 2025 "Very impolite of you to dodge our tea-party so dramatically, Miss Johanna." Valindra let forth a humoured, yet somehow still hollow snort. A woman jaded by tragedy and betrayal, there were few in this life the disgraced Sohaer deemed truly worthy of her respect, and yet Johanna, a human was one of them. Centuries of life left the loss of a true equal no easier... And yet Valindra had been secretly planning-- and dreading this moment for years now. Rummaging through her closet, the 'fenn located an ancient and dusty bottle of a Carolustadt ancient vintage. "I will have that drink... Though I fear I shall never join you in the skies." Her gaze drifted to the stagnant geists, floating about her room, unnoticed by even the most perceptive of mystics. Vivification was a curse, and a wicked one at that, though perhaps it would be her blessing this time around. She only wished to say goodbye for the last time, A luxury she'd been robbed of countless times before.
confusedjester 819 Share Posted July 13, 2025 As news reached the Greye-O'Rourke, her slowly shoulders fell in mourn. Memories of Balian, memories of Amathine, and memories of her wedding- Johanna had been constant- a figure always there, when many left her times before. Einin would grieve later. Instead, she rose from her position under the White Tree of Ildon, to seek out her husband. She could only pray Johanna was resting easy in the Skies, free from a breaking, crumbling world.
Lalosia 1001 Share Posted July 13, 2025 Aleksandr d'Arkent let out a steady sigh as he received word in regards to the passing of one of his oldest friends. His body strained as haggered coughs left him, droplets of blood painting the linen handkerchief in splotches of crimson. "Perhaps in a world beyond time, such as this, I'd have been more forthcoming of the feelings that stirred within..." He muttered a prayer for the fallen, the unrequited love of old.
__Stal27 2148 Share Posted July 13, 2025 "Rest Easy and Rest Well. . . Dona Johanna." The ever-so reclusive Lothar spoke as he dealt with an ongoing disease, kept occupied within his confines, the man bore a lazed gaze, as his heart bore the loss of more from his bountiful childhood. "May you know in the confines of the skies. . . Never did I lose faith in you."
Zora_T 120 Share Posted July 14, 2025 (edited) She heard the news in the morning, her face immedietally fell. she excused herself to her chambers. If one listened through the bustle of the city, they could hear light sobs in the Greye"s House Edited July 14, 2025 by Zora_T
jqsmlne 460 Share Posted July 14, 2025 Mirabella stared at the door of Johanna's home in Lotharia for a long while. She had just been there a few days ago... ...I should’ve visited more. Talked more. Stayed for longer, she thought. She bowed her head, spoke a small prayer, and then carried on, wearing the burden of regrets as she walked.
Kirkigar 133 Share Posted July 16, 2025 (edited) The 'aheral looked at his staff unconcerned. His shoulder still ached from killing Esta, though... Why wasn't Johanna answering his letter? "You're a busy Valah, aren't you?" he said to himself. The 'aheral's innocence kept him optimistic, amid the ruin of Aevos Edited July 16, 2025 by Kirkigar
