ANNOUNCEMENT

 

Even the hardiest and most stubborn dwarves require a well-rounded diet to thrive, as do the numerous working animals of Urguan that help work our mills and give us transportation. The Folk of Urguan have been skilled in the arts of sustainable, productive agriculture and food preparation since time immemorial, nurtured and taught well by our faith in the Hearth Mother Anbella; it is as such that it has been decided to create a branch of Yemekar’s Workforce dedicated to tending, harvesting, and processing food products ranging from hardy dwarven barley to the various varieties of livestock.

 

Anbella’s Harvest is devoted to making sure ample food is available to the population of Urguan, even in times of drought, failed harvest, or other forms of strife that hinder agricultural or processing capabilities. As such, it is the responsibility of the guild to hold stockpiles of food in case of famine. It has been decided to choose a dwarf who has ample understanding of food production and farming to lead the guild; as such, Dugric Grandaxe has been named the first Harvest Lord, responsible for leadership of the guild and coordinating with others, such as the Dwarven Merchant’s Guild, in order to distribute a wide range of quality products.

 

FIRST DECREE

 

The quality of Urguani bread has long been held in high esteem; it feeds our glorious Legion and Guild Workers, giving them the energy they need to wield the dual hammers of their trades. However, it has been observed that there has been a dip in quality amongst the bread distributed to the dwarven people, and as such, Harvest Lord Dugric Grandaxe has decided to implement a new standard for its production.

 

All commercially produced bread made and sold within the domain of the Grand Kingdom must be made from unadulterated flour from one or more of the sources listed here: Barley, Wheat, Rye, Oats, Corn, Rice, Millet, Peas & Beans, Edible Tubers & Root Vegetables. Seasonings and miscellaneous ingredients are permitted so long as they do not compromise the nutritional value of any given loaf. Loaves must be within the following standard weights, which should be stated to the buyer: 1ˡᵇ, 2ˡᵇ, 5ˡᵇ, 10ˡᵇ. Failure to adhere to these guidelines and regulations will be considered prohibited behavior, as you are misleading the customer/consumer into purchasing or eating a substandard or underweight product. Repeated offences will be reported to the High Courts for due processing.
