How have you managed to stay being nice while getting high positions & huge responsibilities pushed on you all the time?

Also idk what my fav. dessert is, but definetly not pancakes.

to take a page out of my own mother’s book, caz’s favorite kid depends on the day, their mood, and who has most recently helped in the kitchen (but i personally love both characters equally :3)

what is your favorite animal

this one is hard, i’ve had quite a few spontaneous moments but none that were particularly big or dramatic as far as i recall? (though i have very poor memory) however i always enjoyed when i was AFKing at atticus’ bookshop and had someone come in and start asking a few questions, and we’d unexpectedly end up in a really deep conversation about the topic of whatever book they were buying or an impromptu lesson on the subject. it was always just such a fun way to meet and learn a lot about other people’s characters even if i never saw them again

 

for specific instances, this one is a bit sappy but i actually didn’t know IRL that wilford was going to propose to atticus when it happened and it was a really cute and lovely surprise on the part of my irl partner who played wilford! there was also one memorable occurrence where the same character was stopped on the road during the covenant war by some veletz soldiers, but ended up striking up friendly conversation with one of them after being held up and gifted her a lizard. it was one of those nice, surprising moments of camaraderie during conflict and mutual humanity.

 

also this is the hardest question there are so many good animals. i’m gonna exclude common domestic animals and say sea turtles

i don’t think i could cite a single place off the top of my head since all my characters had very varying inspirations, though if i had to cite fantasy writers that inspire me the most im a big fan of the works of terry pratchett and love to try to emulate him when i can, especially lately

this is so hard but honestly i still think about the first ST event i ever went to when i was new to the server, a squakhawk event at the aldtree. i don’t know if it stuck with me so hard just because it was my first, but it was really incredible and i was impressed by the quality & speed of the writing and the quality of the physical setting we were in. altogether just an amazing eventline i wish i had seen more of!

 

even though im taking a break from it right now i’ll probably always be a void magic guy in my heart, i love the idea of using it for merlin style human wizard RP and want to do that again in the future. as for ones i haven’t played yet, id like to someday commit to a fully alchemy-focused character and play some sort of eccentric inventor archetype

unless i get another total knockout sometime in the future, it’s probably always going to be atticus. besides having a story i was insanely proud of, he was also my first real character and my experience playing him was also colored by the wonder and exploration of learning the server, its world, and its lore completely organically. it’s hard to reproduce the feeling of entering lotc with a fresh mind for the first time, especially once you’ve seen the background workings and a bit of that magic has gone away

1. i like being nice

2. pursuing conflict with other people ooc requires a level of emotional energy and commitment i do not have to spare for this server, bless

 

i also just tend to lean in the direction of giving people grace and the benefit of the doubt even when we disagree with something, or even if they don’t like me. we’re all just nerds on our computers and holding grudges just makes the server less enjoyable overall. the people i’ve seen probably having the least fun on this server are those who hold this weird, toxic vitriol for half the playerbase and seem to hate being on here because of it, but stay for reasons i cannot figure out 🤷
