Should you approach one, it would cautiously hand you a missive, waiting patiently for you to either hand the missive back, discard it or give it a response. This line in particular meets Galahad to no particular surprise, to suggest that the affairs of Mankind would soon leech beyond their jurisdiction and into the realms of those less fearsome than they. After all, it had been written many times before, and shall be written many times onward, but unwise would it be of any highborn lord or ruler to so recklessly neglect the prospect of betrayal from any ally, human or not. It is the volatile, ever-changing nature of politics, a lesson he had learned with swiftness in his youth and practiced with such force in his reign that he too would be dubbed tyrannical for it, however insignificant these assertions to him. Nonetheless, The frequency with which the term is pitched struggles to inspire much passion in the young prince.
