It’s that time again! With the arrival of 1.21.5 formally onto Lord Of The Craft, it’s time for another new bean pack edition. Thank you to @Echo_42069 for testing this modpack for any conflicts, as well as @Cheezboi9  for helping to track down the new advanced chat mod version. Plus a final thanks to @PrinceTheDM for making a modrinth file for the modpack. Also, you don’t have to use the vanilla launcher for this and keep in mind you can use Modrinth’s own one, as it should work just as well for most of these mods.

Please note that not all mods will work with each other. We will provide notes under the affected mod to indicate what mods don't work together.

If you see anything that needs to be added or fixed, hit me up on Discord at smol_bean and I’ll add it in.

How To Install Fabric:

This is how to install Fabric, which is shown below in our required mod section. This information is cited from here.

1. Download the Fabric Installer

By using the link below, you can download the fabric installer.

https://fabricmc.net/use/installer/

If you use Windows, download the .exe version (Download For Windows), because it doesn't require Java to be installed on your system. It instead uses Java that came with the official launcher.

For macOS and Linux, you should download the .jar version. Sometimes, you need to install Java before this step.

2. Run the Fabric Installer

Once you've opened the installer, you should see a screen like this:

Screenshot 2026 01 11 171938

To install Fabric, simply choose your game version from the dropdown, make sure it's 1.21.5, and click Install.

Ensure that 'Create Profile' is selected.

3. You're Done!

Once the installer has finished, you can open the Minecraft Launcher and select the Fabric profile from the dropdown in the bottom left corner and press Play!

If troubleshooting is needed, refer to the link from which this information is sourced for guidance on how to troubleshoot.

How To Install Mods Via Fabric:

This is how to install Fabric mods, which is the type of mod we have on the modpack. This information is cited from here.

1. Download The Mod

The majority of mods require Fabric API as well, which can be downloaded from Modrinth or CurseForge or below from the required section of our mod list.

When downloading the mods, ensure that:

  • They work on the version of Minecraft you want to play on. A mod that works on version 1.21, for example, might not work on version 1.21.5.
  • They are for Fabric and not another mod loader.
  • Furthermore, they are for the correct edition of Minecraft (Java Edition).

2. Move The Mod To The Mods Folder.

The mods folder can be found in the following locations for each operating system.

You can usually paste these paths into the address bar of your file explorer to quickly navigate to the folder.

Windows:

%appdata%\.minecraft\mods

MacOS:

~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods

Linux:

~/.minecraft/mods

Once you've found the mods folder, you can move the mod .jar files into it.

3. You’re Done!

Once you've moved the mods into the mods folder, you can open the Minecraft Launcher and select the Fabric profile from the dropdown in the bottom left corner and press play!

If there is any troubleshooting that needs to be done, refer to the link where this information is from on how to troubleshoot.

FWGip7x.png

When it comes to downloading the modpack, we’ve done things a little differently this time. Instead of a single version, we’ve split it into separate folders, each containing a different number of mods. This way, players can choose the setup that best matches their computer’s performance, so even the most potato PCs will be able to run at least some of the mods.

We have also created a list of shaders and resources, including some recommended resource packs that are guaranteed to work well with these mods, which can be found within the Google Drive link provided.

If you are interested in what is in each Mod Pack Folder in detail, please take a look below.

Required Mods
(Fabric)

Fabric API

This is the base mod for the modpack and must be installed for any mods below to work. The way to download Fabric is noted above.

https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api/versions

Sodium

Sodium is a powerful rendering engine and optimisation mod for Minecraft 1.16+, which greatly improves performance and graphical quality. It boasts wide compatibility with the Fabric mod ecosystem when compared to other rendering-focused mods, and it does so without compromising on how the game looks, giving you that authentic block game feel.

https://modrinth.com/mod/sodium/versions

Mod Menu

Mod Menu lets you view the mods you have installed and, if supported by the mod, enables quick and easy access to the mod's config screens. It is not strictly required, but it is great to help you easily manage all the mods you will be using for the server.

https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api/versions

Cloth Config API

This mod is a config screen api. A few mods on the list below use it as a dependent, such as Bobby and so on.

https://modrinth.com/mod/cloth-config/versions

MaLiLib

This mod is a dependency for some of the mods in the modpack below, such as AdvancedChat.

https://modrinth.com/mod/malilib/versions

Searchables

Searchables is a library mod that adds helper methods that allow for searching and filtering elements based on components (shape: square, colour: red), as well as offering built-in auto-complete functionality.

https://modrinth.com/mod/searchables/versions

Chat Focused Mods
(Fabric)

[!] When downloading the following Advanced Chat Mods, ensure that you choose the Jar file that does not include 'sources' in its name. [!]

Advanced Chat Mods

AdvancedChatCore ((Base Mod))  -
This mod primarily adds internal features used by other modules, filters out profanity from chat, and adds the ability to display the time that a message was sent.

https://github.com/NotRyken/AdvancedChatCore/releases/tag/v1.5.14

AdvancedChatHUD -
This mod is an overhaul of the Minecraft chat HUD, adding many new features.

https://github.com/NotRyken/AdvancedChatHUD/releases/tag/v1.3.14

AdvancedChatBox -
This mod allows for complex suggestions and tab completion to be added to the Minecraft chat box.

https://github.com/NotRyken/AdvancedChatBox/releases/tag/v1.1.9

AdvancedChatLog -
Lets you view and search through the chat history, beyond what Minecraft usually lets you view.

https://github.com/NotRyken/AdvancedChatLog/releases/tag/v1.2.8

The fabric mods guide by the tech team goes into setting up advanced chat configuration and can be found at the link below:

https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/239501-fabric-mods-1206/

No Reports

This mod strips cryptographic signatures which are attached to every chat message sent from 1.19 onwards. Removing them makes it impossible to track and associate your chat messages with your Minecraft client, and, by extension, your Microsoft account.

https://modrinth.com/mod/no-chat-reports/versions

Stendhal

This mod is a client-side Fabric mod offering new and enhanced visual utilities for books, signs, an anvil and the in-game chat.

All the vanilla GUIs (screens) for Book & Quills, Books, Anvils and Signs have been reworked, with quick access to various tools (import & export books and signs to/from disk, copy entire page content, entire books or signs, clear a page or a book entirely in one click, ...), legacy colors and one-click away unicode characters!

https://modrinth.com/mod/stendhal

Map Mods
(Fabric)

[!] Be aware that for ANY map mod used within the server that has player tracking enabled, it MUST be disabled. Using player tracking is against the server rules. [!]

How to Toggle Entities (player tracking) off

  1. Open the Mod Menu in Minecraft.
  2. Select Xaero’s Minimap & World Map from the list of mods.
  3. Go to Entity Radar Settings.
  4. Find the option Display Radar.
  5. Set it to OFF.

Xaero’s Map Mods

Minimap -
This mod is a unique addition to Minecraft, featuring a rotating square design. It offers customizable settings, including a circle-shaped minimap and a waypoint setting. The minimap can display surrounding entities, players, mobs, and items. Users can also place their own waypoints for teleportation. The mod can display blocks above and below ground in cave mode. It comes in full and fair-play editions for fair PVP, and is mostly client-sided.

https://modrinth.com/mod/xaeros-world-map

World Map -
This mod adds a self-writing full-screen map to your Minecraft client. It works best with the minimap mod above.

https://modrinth.com/mod/xaeros-minimap

Rendering Mods
(Fabric)

Bobby

This mod allows for render distances greater than the server's view-distance setting.

https://modrinth.com/mod/bobby/versions

[!] Please note that Bobby can cause crashes if not properly configured. The fix is below [!]

How to Toggle Dynamic World Management off

  1. Open the Mod Menu in Minecraft.
  2. Select Bobby from the list of mods.
  3. Turn off  Dynamic World Management
  4. ‘/bobby upgrade’ within the game.

Or

Distant Horizons

This mod allows for render distances greater than the server's view-distance setting.

https://modrinth.com/mod/distanthorizons/versions

https://modrinth.com/mod/worldedit-cui/versions

Misc Mods
(Fabric)

Figura

This mod is one of the best for immersion on Lord Of The Craft. Although only a small portion of the servers have models affected by it, a large portion of the servers modded players have it so they can see said models. The mod mainly allows you to extensively customise your player model and have other players see your Avatar without requiring any server mods!

[!] Be aware that this can conflict with Immediately Fast [!]

https://github.com/purrowler/Figura/releases/tag/1.21.5-sodium-2

Figura Roleplayers Discord:

https://discord.gg/uFYM4mZUFx

Spyglass Astronomy

This mod is entirely client-side and designed to help with world-building and immersion. It is encouraged that you think of lore about all the constellations you draw and planets you name.

https://modrinth.com/mod/spyglass-astronomy/versions

Skin Shuffle

This is a mod that allows you to change, store and customise your skin in-game.

https://modrinth.com/mod/skinshuffle/versions

3D Skinlayers

This mod replaces the usually flat second layer of player skins with a 3d modeled version. It will automatically switch to the vanilla 2d rendering when players are further away than 12 blocks in order to increase the framerate.

  • This won’t show up with figura users if you have a model that conflicts with it.

https://modrinth.com/mod/3dskinlayers/versions

Presence footsteps

This mod works on adding and improving the sounds around the player in Minecraft.

https://modrinth.com/mod/presence-footsteps/versions

https://modrinth.com/mod/fallingleaves/versions

https://modrinth.com/mod/quickchat/versions

https://modrinth.com/mod/emoji-type/versions

Sound Physics Remastered

A Minecraft mod that provides realistic sound attenuation, reverberation, and absorption through blocks.

https://modrinth.com/mod/sound-physics-remastered/versions

Dynamic Lights

This mod adds dynamic lights to the game. Dynamic lights are lights created by an entity holding an item which makes light as a block, or created by an entity on fire, etc.

https://modrinth.com/mod/lambdynamiclights/versions

Visual Workbench

This mod makes items put into Crafting tables stay inside. Breaking the block drops everything on the ground, just like you'd expect. Oh, and crafting ingredients as well as the resulting item are also rendered on top.

[!]  Be aware this works only within Single-Player worlds, but it is still a pretty cool mod [!]

https://modrinth.com/mod/visual-workbench/versions

LOTC Message Mirror

This mod helps you preview your chat messages exactly as they’ll appear on the Lord of the Craft server, applying all colour codes, format rules, and styles used in-game. Made by our very own @Voluble

https://modrinth.com/mod/lotc-message-mirror

As a heads up, the Litematica Printer mod linked will cause your game to crash once your hotbar fills up due to an integer error.

I have made a version that fixes this bug for 1.21.5 which I've shared via Discord.
