Transphobia and Harrasment

 

What circumstances led to this ban?

 

I was talking with a previously banned player because of his comments on Jesus during the easter. They have shown toxicity about easter and Jesus, when I asked why and elaborated the situation: I got the reply with a gif, that had a humans foot shredded. After arguing with the player, I have sent them a sniper gif and said 'you're on my sight'. Couple of minutes later, they made a report on me and I got banned for Transphobia.

 

Are there aspects of the ban you agree and/or disagree with?

 

I want to clarify that I’ve never disrespected trans people and I don’t hold any negative views towards them. I believe I was falsely flagged for transphobia, but I do acknowledge that I harassed the person I was speaking with. Sending a sniper gif and saying ‘you’re on my sight’ was inappropriate, and I understand how it could be seen as threatening, even if I didn’t mean it that way. I regret doing that and I’m genuinely sorry for my actions. I’ll be more mindful in the future to avoid repeating this behavior. And once again, I truly feel sorry for my actions and will never do it again.

 

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

 

I've always played on LOTC and it's really hard to let go of the server completely. I've been its member for seven years and I want to continue on roleplaying. I have fun in here and there are bunch of my friends playing too, which urges me to play even more.
