Last night tha Shad'Rin came ta Kal'Urguan and threatened us Blackaxes with pain and death. We dan't take ta kindly ta such talk comin' from dis'onorable lads. Our response was swift and ta tha point. We assulted tha Shad'Rin 'omes and confronted dem. We killed tha one that spoke death to us. We gave thar leader once last chance to redeem thar 'onor by kneelin' ta tha mighty Blackaxe. Tha fool, 'e choose nat ta kneel. I'll keep ta me word, as I told 'im we would return again and again, until we 'ave our respect back! From this point on, tha Shad'Rin be our enemies!

Day 136 of tha exile

-Tha forgin' of tha Blackaxe-

Taday was as normal as any other day; minin' fer raw materials ta build tha walls of me mountain 'ome, Kal'Domhain. I began ta mine deeper and deeper ta tha very depths of Aegis, until I broke through a wall ta a very dark and ancient cavern. Dis' cave be tha pitch black tha darkest I've ever seen. Me thinks' tha cave 'ad been without light fer so long dat tha very essence of darkness 'ad become sinister. But somethin' was off. Shadows moved 'round whar light should be. Noises startin' comin' fram tha depths of this blindin' cavern; tha noises sounds like shufflin'. I put forth me torch ta illuminate in front of me. Tha light shone unta tha face of a creature so dark and foul that it'd musta been spawned from tha nethar. I shuddered only fer a moment, then quickly drew me ancestral axe in defiance ta tha dark one. 'e lunged at me with 'is spectral lookin' arms. I parried with me axe 'nd slashed at 'is side woundin' 'im. 'e fell ta tha ground, but no sound came fram 'im, not even a thud. 'is dark blood sizzled on me axe. All of a sudden tha shufflin' grew rapid as moar of tha dark beins' whar on me. I 'acked and I slashed me way through tha masses of tha netherspawn. When tha battle was over, 'nd me body be covered with sweat 'nd tha dark blood of tha fallen, I stumbled me way through tha darkness until tha entrance be found. I returned 'ome in triumph!

'nd so I say, let dis day be remembered as tha day that I brin' 'onor 'ome to me family! As me axe be stained by tha blood of tha dark ones, let dis' be known ta all me enemies; that I, Decks, 'ave conquered tha most foul of netherspawn! That I, 'ave shown tha dwarven peoples that I can survive in tha most 'arshest of places! That I, defy tha king of Kal'Urguan! Fer all of dis', let me and me descendants be 'enceforth known as tha Blackaxe!
