Abilities
There are only two abilities, and within the two abilities, there are two variants for each.

Spoiler

General Redlines

🟄If you have Aurum inside your body, the Aurum will begin to burn up, and the Aurum will stop any form of controlling others' souls and your own. If transformed anyone or if you are transformed, you both will start to turn back, and at the 4 emote, you and they will completely turn back. (Abilities and exceptions that are not affected are the addition of Envisionary to the boon and bane feature, The Collection, Man Made Heaven)

🟄The targets of your abilities must have a soul or an equivalent to one, and can't be undead/Voidstalker/Arcane Scion, Additionally after a voidal mage does the connecting emote as long as they are connected, they cannot be affected.

[Body is clay, Soul is the sculptor's hand] Combative
A Dusha can manipulate other soul beings to its liking and even its own.
This ability has two variants. Changeling and Envisionary

Spoiler

Envisionary is the act of the Dusha resculpting the soul blueprint of another being bearing souls within 10 meters, either willingly through RP consent or forcefully through OOC consent. This ability takes [3 Emotes] to use and is very freeform aesthetically.

Redlines

🟄With this ability, you cannot make others make the appearance as a CA. You can only modify their appearance, adding horns, tails, etc., or turn them into player-run event creatures temporarily, and ST-approved custom forms.

🟄While turning into a player-run event creature or ST-approved custom form, or a strange-looking version of an animal from the Bestiary, or a strange-looking version of a regular animal, the player loses all of their magic and abilities and gains the capabilities of the event creature, custom form, or animal for the duration.

🟄Flying animals (Unless stated otherwise) can only fly up to five meters into the air in combat. It doesn't make you harder to hit, but it does allow you to ignore CRP fall damage as you are flying.

🟄For the player, transforming takes 4 emotes to transform.

🟄 If the transformed player isn't within 10 meters or in line of sight of the Dusha, they transform back after a minimum of 4 emotes.

🟄 Transforming back is a very painful process and very tiring on the soul for non-Dusha, leaving them unable to continue in combat.

🟄 You may also reshape the appearance of those into looking like a descendant, but looking a little odd (Look at Changeling's rules)

🟄Through an ST permission with proof of their consent, they can transform it into a non-player-run event creature.

🟄Suppose the character has some form of magic that affects the soul, such as malflame. In that case, they can apply the modifications as part of this ability without spending an extra emote or needing OOC consent or RP consent.

🟄The modification part of this ability can be reversed through shamanism or any other magic that states it can. Additionally, another Dusha can remove these modifications as well.

🟄If you are a Naztherak and have the boon and bane feature, this can be counted as a bane, and it will work as follows: ‘You no longer need to be near or have the line of sight to cause the transformation of the player or for them to stay in it. Additionally, the transformation could be random at random parts of the day or during high stress or whenever the player feels like it. During random parts of the day or high stress, they roll a D4, and if they get a 2, 3, or 4, they'll be fine, but if they roll a 1, the transformation will occur. If the character is on the verge of death, the Player may choose to turn back.’

Spoiler

Changelings are those Dusha who change their own soul blueprint to appear as a descendant or beast. Turning into a descendant takes (2 emotes) while becoming a creature takes (4 emotes). A Dusha who appears as a descendant always looks odd due to glowing eyes or glowing tattoos, looking ethereal, etc. There has to be something strange, and the only way to hide this is through an obsessive amount of clothing to the point where it's absurd

Redlines

🟄You can change your appearance to resemble a descendant, but never another CA. You can turn into player-run event creatures temporarily and ST-approved custom forms.

🟄When you appear as a descendant, you always have to look strange in some way, whether due to glowing eyes, glowing tattoos, or an ethereal appearance etc, The only way to hide this is through an obsessive amount of clothing to the point where it's absurd.

🟄While turning into a player-run event creature or ST-approved custom form, or a strange-looking version of an animal from the Bestiary, or just a regular, strange-looking version of an animal, you lose all of your magic and abilities and gain the capabilities of the event creature, custom form, or animal for the duration.

🟄Through an ST permission with proof of them giving the permission, you can turn yourself into a non-player-run event creature.

🟄If you have access to a special type of fire, for example, malflame, and you turn into a creature that can produce fire, you can replace that flame with your malflame or any special fire you have access to in base form.

🟄If you are a CA that has a form of shape-shifting, disguising as the descendant part of the ability overrides the other one, but if the CA has a feeding ability to keep up the transformation, this will carry over to this. For example, the Zar'akal Devour/Facade ability will need to be done once every 7 days to keep the transformation up, and also the mental effects of Facade carry over.

[Too close to the Divine] Non-combative
Souls are very important to the Dusha, same with the divine.
This ability has two variants. Man Made Heaven and The Collection

Spoiler

The Collection occurs either with willing RP consent or forceful OOC consent; the Dusha can make it so the selected target cannot make it to their afterlife, and upon death, their soul goes to the Dusha. This doesn't cost an emote. Alternatively, A character may give away their afterlife to the Dusha without needing them to be present or be willing, as long as the character knows one of the aliases or names of the Dusha.

Redlines

🟄Upon gaining a player character's soul, you have a couple of options: they can put the soul into a fake afterlife (see Man Made Heaven below) or use it to extend your lifespan or someone else's (if it's a human soul, they gain an extra 100 years; an orc or dwarf, 200 years; and an elf, 500 years) while becoming a bit younger each time to the minimum of their prime. There are possibly more options that ST could give you.

🟄Once the character gives away their afterlife to you, either forcefully or not, they cannot become an undead CA or any type if you don't willingly allow it.

🟄 This may additionally count as a bane if you have the boon and bane feature from Naztheraks.

Spoiler

Man Made Heaven, A fake afterlife that a Dusha makes. It's closer to a pocket plane but not exactly that. It's unknown how these things form and if they are attached to the mortal plane, but they cause some very unwanted attention for Dusha.

Redlines

🟄You can only have two of these made.

🟄You have complete freedom in how it looks and its experience. It can look and feel like the great halls of luxury and peace, or it can be like the High Hells. It is completely customizable to your liking, though if you do want some verification on it, you can ask ST.

🟄If you wish to step back and soft-shelve your character and play them at a later date, your character may retreat to a fake afterlife until you want to play them again.

🟄 Upon the roleplay of making one, you must notify ST that you've done the RP with proof and a Google doc with information on the realm so they may put it on your FA

🟄Greater entities may be curious and want to interact with you or your fake realm, though this is purely up to an ST or potentially an ET if they want to do this.

🟄Greater entities may also break into the fake realm.

🟄 This also counts as a storage bank for souls, so on the same Google doc that has your realm information, you should add screenshots of the RP into there, or the message gave their soul to you.

 Purpose

This is my first time writing lore, and this took three days straight with two hours of sleep, and it is to be a reward for players that do good events and are out there to help the community and also for those that have character ideas and stories but can never truly get them out due to restrictions, but I also wrote this for those that want to write lore but are shy, don't have confidence, or don't know where to start. finally for the staff to have fun with this as well :3

Despite this having what you may think to be very limited abilities, the very premise of this is extremely, extremely powerful, to the point of absurdity. I would heavily suggest reading more into the metaphysics of the state of the lore of LOTC (beyond base-standard magics) before trying to submit this. The very premise of toying with souls to this degree, with this also having a complete lack of in-world thematic Origin Lore (which is just as necessary as the main abilities themselves for the passing of any 'brand new' lore not tied to anything already pre-existing). As someone who's written many lore pieces, as well as having helped with them in the dozens, don't try to run before you can walk.

I'm sorry that I messed up, I didn't want to write a deep, detailed origin due to feeling like I couldn't do it by myself and my fear of possibly stepping on someone's toes and having someone yell at me, so I left it very hollow, and kept it focused on what I did know and that is mostly souls strangely... but I didn't have much help writing this besides just being told to write and to post it. I don't have many lore friends.

If you can give me any specific suggestions, even if it's just abilities or links to lore that I should start reading up on, that would be greatly appreciated, as I do want this to get accepted.

There's no need to apologise, it's just lore on a Minecraft server : )

You'd have to talk to the ST for more specificities, but the closest thing that this draws toward is an old lore that used to exist called "Soul Puppetry". This type of lore exists under a banner called 'Bad Lore', spoken more about here:

These sorts of magics are considered "conceptually flawed" - the concept of toying around with souls to the degree with which you present is fundamentally something that is entirely inaccessible to players, especially when your magic is a Feat, which requires no magic slots. Just imagine if this magic was actually introduced into LOTC - so far as I am aware, only Aenguldaemons possess the power to actually 'take' souls, by having these souls exist within their various Realms, to which their powers are attached, and this occurs when a Descendant is bound to them via their associated magic.

Imagine if Descendants were also somehow allowed this capacity, with no further real explanation of why? The only current possible way for a descendant to ascertain a power that is even close to this is, within itself, to become an Aenguldaemon. Even then, they do not necessarily possess their own realm, and have to acquire one in order to host the souls of those bound to them within it - and this magic contradicts that, as well. The concept that this magic portrays fundamentally, and massively, tips the scales of how LOTC's real power-scaling works, and really doesn't make much sense metaphysically on the server.

It's honestly hard to find lore pieces that would show you a way to go, and the reason I'm giving such an extended monologue about why I believe that this fundamentally wouldn't pass is that a lot of people just expect people to "know" these things, and when their lore gets denied, they don't really get much of an explanation as to why.

Dusha Dusha Dusha. It is just fun to say. DUSHAAAAAA!!!!

P.S.  I would lay off a bit on the spoilers, it makes the post kind of hard to navigate.

It's a fire word to say, but if I write anything in the future, I'll make sure to do better

Ok, but just FYI you are allowed to edit lore so long as the ST has not reviewed it yet. So you could change this if you wished.

spoilers are basic formatting, and make a post infinitely easier to navigate. how are spoilers making it HARDER to navigate for you??

Must you follow me from post to post to refute my refutations of said posts?  And I don't even know I just find it hard to do. (Once again, apparently an unpopular opinion 😒 .)

Ok let's stop arguing about this now. I admit I don't really have much expierence, I am just attempting (and apparently failing) to give good feedback.
