Within the storm-roaring island, where the skies were ever dark and its people as unyielding as wrathful bears, life continued as it always had. Strength was revered above all else; power was pursued without hesitation, for to conquer, to uphold honor, to bow before might was a sign of respect, as these were the principles they lived by, might makes right. Yet in their obsession, they failed to notice what was unfolding around them, and so, a transgression was made.

Upon the grounds of the Kato compound, a family once held in great esteem would lay a trail of destruction, with broken stones littering the ground and faded footprints marking a winding path leading to a shrine of someone now dead, which had now been defiled. The offerings, once placed with care, had been scattered, overturned, and desecrated. The words once carved to bind the departed spirit had been disrupted, twisted into a crooked sentence etched in that show of havoc.

“'The Katos killed Choumi.”

Nevertheless, no culprit revealed itself; still, the marks were caught only after a few KAMI months, with little or no attention given to them. Clearly, this was no act of random vandalism. It was a deliberate act, meant to free the dead from the chains of that shrine, to grant the soul that was housed inside that prison rest in the eyes of the one who committed this act of liberation. However, it carried more than one meaning than that; it served as a reminder: a warning of what such traditions would ultimately bring: Forevermore, a truth to where such customs lead, toward ruin, and toward an inevitable end.

Nothing personal, just a small narrative post! Some Minor act of rebellion, not a lot!

Don't metagame this content unless you have seen what happened, or where the Shrine is located. It's a narrative post, not a missive.

On the grounds of the Kato Compound, a young teen who found himself frequently visiting the shrine found himself face to face with the desecration that had been committed. Unsteady hands moved to right all the offerings as he spoke whispers that only the departed may hear. Ignorant or not the boy sanded away the hateful etching of his family, rewriting what had previously been there, keeping it to appear as untouched as possible.

Questions would be left unanswered but still, he kept her memory alive for himself and another.

Ena wonders why someone would deface a shrine for the dearly departed during the holiday season, but expected no less of cowards so he didn't take it personal. He smiled smugly at making cowards squirm.

Ena's mind would have been blasted by external knowledge at his natural-quipped response; the shrine's harmless damage was there for a few days and surely not made in Krugmas or the new yearly era. O.O

Danzen shakes his head as the vandal would deface a shrine during the midst of Krugsmas. Those Brawms sure have no standards
