A PUBLIC Missive of Disownment

[!] A published missive makes it's way through Azuras, somehow.

"It has come to my attention recently, that the young woman staining my family name and tarnishing our reputation, Vivien "Maelstorm," is the reason that many things have gone wrong within the continent's political climates and the cause for people's lives to be at stake. I am, to say at the VERY least, incredibly disappointed in her actions, and in her as a person. I had agreed to hear her out in situations of high stress, but she has decided that instead of being honest, open, and sticking to her word or allegiances for any nation she currently lives within, as well as every nation she has lived in formerly, that she will instead tarnish and damage any ties and relations she has to any person she interacts with or has interacted with in her lifetime.

I have made a private missive to Vivien in the past, revoking her from the family name and disownment, however I was visited by her "mentor" and "friend," who made vague threats to myself, my family, and my city, urging me to take back my decision. I was distraught, afraid for not only my safety, but her sibling's safeties as well. But, I know now, that my initial decision of disownment, was indeed correct.

So I pen this missive, publicizing my proper disownment of Vivien "Maelstorm." She is not to use the Maelstorm family name going forward, though from what I have learned, she does not put much care into it anyhow. She will be removed from any family trees, and will no longer be eligible to take on the role as family head in the future. If she is found to be using my surname publicly, I ask that anybody within the vicinity remind her that she has no family, and that she is alone. She has brought this upon herself, and I do not want anyone with my family name to be associated with someone who has caused so much strife within foreign nations that has lead to many people that I know fearing for their lives in the event that they must travel.

To Vivien, I write you this message:

Do not contact me, do not send your friends after me or my family. Do not try to wiggle your way back into my family. I do not care what happens to you any longer, and I refuse to acknowledge your existence if you attempt to make your way to me."

Spoiler

OOC: I'd like if I don't get messages making me feel bad about this OOCly. My persona has knowledge of things that have been done that disgusts her, and is acting as she is meant to as a character. This does not tie into any OOC grudge or anything that I might have, but I will not tolerate being told upsetting things just because I am RPing my persona true to her morals and personality. Thanks.

The Architect glanced over the papers brought to her by one of the other custodians. She took notice of it, but since she didn't actually threaten the woman she made no plans to further get involved.

Aerith rereads the missive she has sent out, sighing heavily. "She is the entire reason that voidal mages are now a target on the Empire's long ''kill on sight'' list. I can ne leave my cihi, my friends and family are scared for their lives- not to mention, she kept urging Kaya to meet her at random spots, and to burn the letters he received. How is she to be trusted? How am I supposed to be a haelun to someone who does nething but cause trouble everywhere she goes?" She pinches the bridge of her nose, feeling a migraine coming on. Tossing the copy to the floor, she groans, a wave of guilt rushing through her system. "I was stupid to think she would be honest with me. I should have trusted my feelings and initial thoughts. I hope this does ne come back to bite me in the ass."

A certain Mage blade laid his eyes onto the missive. His eyes and face not displaying any emotion as he read it though.

"I suppose that i am blessed that the only connection forged with her is one fickle and very much under developed"

He said walking off with not a second thought.

Soxton Boomstitch, Big Hat Society #3, sees the missive which addresses one of the associates of the order. The gnome pinches his goatee and rubs it between his index and thumb in thought.

"First, some inept mage tries to assassinate the Emperor and fails. Second, Arakawa is blamed for trying to assassinate the Tar..." he pauses at this.

"Vivian, did you try to assassinate the Grand King?!"

Today, Raziel found out there was more Maelstroms than Vivien who he taught some magic a century ago.

"It is strange, is it not," Mused a pallid 'fenn, long cut off from the blood she once called her family, "how one still stands to fall, even if they think they've reached rock bottom?"

Estevot Heymor was a depressed mess in the Seven Skies watching family he loved so dearly in life falli mg apart while he was gone. He didn’t hate any of them, but he begged GOD to help ease the pain. He didn’t dare ask to make it stop hurting. That was what he was most afraid of.

Jarad would read the missive before having a 10 minute laughing fit. He would end up doubling over and falling to the floor before showing standing up and looking to a nearby aid in the petran town hall, one that he didn't want but had begrudgingly accepted "G-go get me some paper, i need to write to vivian and congratulate her on escaping her toxic family." He said desperately trying to hold in his laughter. "It's very funny that she is being blamed for a war that was long brewing and had nothing to do with her, last i check she also did not attempt any assassinations or anything of an evil nature. This lady just seems completely deranged or separated from reality. Perhaps she could not stand vivian being happy without her or a potential rival to her claim of maelstrom, tho given the maelstorms have betrayed urguan, oren and some elves in the past, it does not suprise me that they betray their own now." He said just rambling off at the aid before sitting back down and reviewing tax documents and possibilities for new properties.

Aerith sneezes. "Must be an idiot rambling somewhere," she mumbles, knowing her lineage has only had one predecessor who had never interacted Oren and has only been in good relations with Urguan in the past, and knowing that her former ADOPTIVE daughter could never compete with her for the Maelstorm name.

Spoiler

Ooc: Lmao… Ok.

“Hmm..?” Breakfast was served seemingly apt to be as delicious as it always was. A peaceful day.

Upon walking into the Big Hat Society, she wandered into the library hearing soxton speak to her.

”What?” - “I been here this whole time. What are you-“ he then showed her the missive with the letter attached to it.

Reading it, didnt break her heart, merely made her a bit frustrated. Its then she grinned and simply shrugged.

“I’ll just make my own family, I do not know what she’s on about anymore. I’ll keep the Maelstorm name, I’m not the one who tarnishes it. If she wants it off, she knows how to get it.”

Then the Flames were stoked as she kindled them from her hands.

”I’m the strongest Maelstorm, if she can’t see reason… fine, might makes right

Jarad very much remembers Peralien Maelstorm betraying Urguan to join Oren during the war of the wigs then later betraying Ebonwood and Oren. He also thought that Vivian would be a much better head of house.
