Old:

Spoiler

Once afflicted, the character will remain cursed for the rest of their days unless cured by the Muritor Elixir, an Alchemical Potion designed to restore a corcitură to their descendant physiology, or by the blessings of Shamanism, which can break the lesser marrows of blood magic upon the corcitură’s soul and purify them of their vampirism.

◇    If cured by either method, the Feat is denied and the same character can never become a corcitură again. Though they could still be fully damned, however, if an elder moroi subjected them to Confirmation.

◇    Curing requires the corcitură player’s out of character consent to succeed.

◇    Curing requires the corcitură player’s out of character consent to succeed. In the case the player refuses curing his character, they would be subjected to a ''temporal cure'', in which first, they would feel weak for [1] OOC day, as if they were cured, but instead, they would just be temporally cured, losing all their boons and banes for [1] OOC week, in which they would go back to the tier they were on before getting cured, the timer until the next one restarting.

Reason:

Spoiler

When a corcitura is captured, there's only 2 outcomes, if the player wants to get cured then everyone wins, the vampire gets cured, happy ending... But what if the player wants to keep playing the vampire? It's a waste of materials (or shamanism) for the capturers, and (most likely) a monk revive for the vampire, making them forget about the rp and probably making it somewhat unsatisfactory. So I thought of a cooler outcome that would benefit some... A punishment in which the capturers materials won't be wasted, for the vampire would actually lose their curse temporally. And for the vampires that don't want to get cured, they would most likely survive the capture and curing rp, making it a more interesting roleplay, even if the punishment is harsher than just going to the cloud temple for 30 minutes.

I accept any criticism and feedback to fix anything, both in the amendment per se, and in the format of the same.

this feels like a way for corcitra to subvert punishments of getting caught via ooc mechanics of not consenting oocly. Once caught the corcitra can go along with getting cured while not consenting oocly, everyone believes they are then cured, and then they go back to being a corcitra. Even though there is a punishment have having to wait to go back to being whatever tier they were at, I still feel like this gives people a way to abuse what is imo essentially an ooc mechanic. If im understanding this incorrectly then I could be wrong.

I understand perfectly, maybe I should make it an entire week of directly getting ''temporally cured'' not even tier 1, buuuut... This is more to give rp for captures, because tell me... What's exactly the punishment of getting captured and not accepting the cure? Literally nothing, 30 minutes of waiting on ct while the monks get some duct tape to cure your char. It's a waste of resources for the capturers, and a waste of time (not the 30 minutes, I mean that your char doesn't remember anything, not even dying like other creatures that revive) for the corcitura. Not trying to subvert punishment, actually trying to give one instead of a boring ''death'' (if you're not accepting the cure, unless certain cases, you won't PK, it means you want to keep playing as a vampire)

Actually... Changing it... A little more punishing... If you get caught no corcitura shenanigans for a whole week

Getting caught as a Corc is already punishing enough. You don't have to tell the people capturing you if the potion worked OOC'ly, it is your choice. It's likely they will just kill you, either way, though. Adding a temporary nerf, after you're caught, then killed, seems brutal. The FA gives you some claws, and makes you a bit better at sneaking -- maybe. Unnecessary changes in my eyes.

If they go all the way to cure you, seemingly manage to cure you... And then kill you anyways is a little metagamey in my opinion... More if you don't tell them OOCly and they just assume it (Or even more if you tell them OOCly and they just blatantly metagame). I mean, they can just kill the corcitura in combat without needing capture if they dislike the possibility of not working so much, even if I partially thought it with the material wasting in mind.

I'll leave my opinion here as someone who's played a corc for well over a year.

Even with the rewrite, the feat itself doesn't give you nowhere near enough benefits that'd balance the possibility of a curse like this. Especially in the scenario of your character getting captured and revealed.

I'm not entirely sure if most players are familiar with it, but the moment your character gets outed as a vampire, doing absolutely anything sucks, all your projects, all your work on that sona up to this point is essentially gone, which, in this case your only options are to essentially create a whole new identity for this persona using alchemy, getting healed or try to keep on rping even though people will keep on finding lame excuses (most of the times consisting of meta) to darkspawn test you despite having done the cure rp before.

This lore has been denied.

This went to an internal vote and was denied.
