TO THE PEOPLE OF AZURAS,

 

MELODY D’ARTAGNAN, of my own blood, has committed an act of violence against the Patriarch of her House. Not only that, she falsely claimed that I am of darkspawn nature and I welcome those who wish to uncover the truth by performing a test on my person. This will only further strengthen my claim. Ordered to stay at home, she is nowhere to be found, within our estate or the High Kingdom. This matter is not a rumour, nor a petty dispute. It is attempted kinslaying. It is a crime against blood, against law, and against the sacred scrolls that bind family and realm alike. House d’Artagnan requests the vigilance and cooperation of all nations. Let the roads be watched. Let the gates and borders be attentive. Should she seek passage, shelter, or anonymity within your lands, we ask that she be detained and word sent without delay. We do not call for her death. We demand her return, alive, to face rightful judgment beneath the laws of Idunia.

 

A reward of considerable value shall be granted to those whose efforts directly lead to her safe capture and return. Loyalty and diligence will not go unanswered.

 

Do not be mistaken, she can pose a threat. Reports delivered to Sir Sambor @VolcanicGoat, a sworn soldier of Idunia @ChainedDragons and other witnesses, attest that Melody d’Artagnan has exhibited dangerous instability, marked by delusion and clear affliction, and should therefore be approached with caution.

 

TO THE CHURCH AND HIS HOLINESS,

 

It is with deep disappointment that I write again so soon after our recent correspondence, and on such a grave matter. I ask for your guidance, your cooperation, and your vigilance where it may be offered. This pursuit is not for vengeance, but for the preservation of a soul that has strayed. Should it be your will, I would permit her, once secured, to be placed under the Church’s care for instruction and correction, that any affliction within her be met with wisdom and remedy. In this, I seek not spectacle, but restoration where it is still possible.

Let this serve as instruction, as a learning experience. Discipline and faith are not ornamental virtues. They are the spine of our name. When either fails, disgrace follows. Do not allow doubt, pride, or resentment to fester unchecked. You have sworn oaths to this House, to Idunia, and to the principles that govern both. Remember them. Guard them.

You have placed yourself beyond the protection of your homeland in a time of war. You stand more vulnerable than you yet understand. What you have done will not be forgiven lightly, nor will it be forgotten. Return. Present yourself. Face what you have earned. You will be judged fairly and according to the law. We are charged with the exercise of mercy, to be given when able, under no presumption or undue condition, for in our world of darkness, the light of Virtue must be fed with the flames of the righteous souls. When one sins, it is our place to show them to the path of penance, that which will cleanse them, but we cannot force them to walk. We await House d'Artagnan's resolution of this lamentable tragedy, pray for their health, and pledge to guide their wayward daughter from the path enshrouded in darkness to the path that leads towards the light.
