I, ANNA-MARIE MARGHERITE of HOUSE CARNELLE, hereby proclaim that I shall assume the position of Baroness of Rosalervo, therefore also becoming the Matriarch of House Carnelle. This is a result of the request from my elder brother, the previous Baron of Rosalervo, Antonio Carnelle who no longer saw himself fit to lead our family in the domain of His Grace Joseph of Petra. 

 

LET IT BE KNOWN that my time as Baroness will bring much needed changes and reforms to our House and title. For over two decades the direction this house had taken under my brother brought us absolutely nothing of worth. It is now my main objective to bolster our efforts in the courts and affairs of this very realm. In that regard I know well that I shall not fail. I am aware of the stigma that surrounds this abdication, and while it was not the responsibility I sought, it shall be done.

 

TO MY KIN I DECLARE, our future is secure and our status is well maintained. It is time for House Carnelle to appropriately carry out its duties, obligations and return to the times of an active, rapidly-developing house that engages with the affairs of our Commonwealth. Do dedicate your trust to me and I assure you that you will not regret it. 

 

THEREFORE, we hereby invite the good people of Petra and the wider Empire, both of noble birth and humble beginnings to join us in a celebration of succession. The evening will include the following: 

 

✦ Drinks and Hors D'oeuvres 

Served in the hall by our fantastic staff. There shall be quishes, and they shall be mini. There shall be eggs, and they shall be deviled. There shall be a selection of cheeses and nuts, and plenty more from whence they came.

 

✦ Primary Entertainment 

We will be finding a slew of entertainment for the evening, including musicians, artisans, and a chorus from Anna’s canine choir.

 

✦ Secondry Entertainment

Aligning with the Baroness’ love for dogs, House Carnelle will be running a dog race in which participants are welcome to bet on their champion. In addition to their financial prize, winners will be gifted a puppy from Lady Anna-Marie’s pedigree, of which they can decide to train it themselves, or leave it within the Carnelle residence until it is trained, at full maturity.
