A devil can only be born as such. That is to say, pre-existing characters can never be turned into devils. It is not a ‘change’ but an origin, determined before the character’s birth and tracked by a feat application (FA). 

-The feat app for the character must be made before they are playable (before age 5). One cannot create an app for a character older than age five.

 

new:

 

Devils may be created by infernal rite, or be born one. They are either a change or an origin, and must be tracked by a character application (CA). Those born a Devil must be determined to be one before birth.

Reasoning:

 

you have to describe all the stuff about how the character looks and understand your limits from playing them. And you can be one after birth now. And it locks you out of a fair amount of stuff. And even if it was a birth-only thing, half the CA’s are that. Why is this a feat

this is good . i had considered trying to amend something like this in, so that a devil's features are set at birth. u shouldnt be allowed to change that shit!!! it also lets u track malflame colours n shit

Makes this significantly easier to mark or keep track of the underlying race of the CC. Since Descendent Curses still apply.

I understand where this is coming from, but it is genuinely going to raise many questions for first-time readers, as you literally are still, by every definition, your original race. You gain the same curses, height, etc., as well as being capable of taking on any transformative CA. This will just turn into stacking two CAs on the same character.
You are cursed, not of a completely different race.

You can famously already have two CA’s at once already (Draugr Musin, Wight Kha) OR be the original race with the same curses AND a ca on top of it (Klone)

its not a creature transformation. theres nothing innate about being a cursed child other than your physical likeness. if you removed all of the physical devilish attributes they would just be normal descendants

if you remove all the cat attributes from a kha they’d just be normal elves

agree that there are not enough changes that a CC gets to warrant a CA

They are just cursed descendants vs an actual CREATURE (Mori, Drazi, Ghoul)

There's nothing innate to a CC that gives them the need to be a CA, Cas are hard moderated and tracked by ST solely for the reason that they are a CA that posses a higher advantage over the average player, a CC provides none of this, Yeah you can say they start off Naz at T2 but the cons outweigh the Pros
