-Arcanium, once refined and crafted into solid metal, causes deep unsettlement and insanity in the mind of those who touch it for all but Voidal Constructs and Voidal Mages (T3 and up), to whom their native metal feels mentally stabilizing and comforting to hold, affecting even those normally resistant or immune to such insanity.

 

-This cannot be circumvented by any means whatsoever; no amount of wood nor fur can make Arcanium wieldable in any form by those who would be prone to it, be it in armament, armor, shield, tool, or anything else. Solely Voidal Constructs (Atronachs), Voidal Mages, and Horrors may utilize it in any form due to their voidal minds amongst them all.

this would be fitting, though maybe there could be a bit more nuance to what “insanity” would entail … as in, PERCHANCE, specify the mental detriments that’d ail non-mages and non voidal constructs

 

off the top of my head, i suggest dissociative thoughts (not random cliché cursed-like object-induced whispers, maybe something like sporadic moments of ‘deafening’ silence that makes one, well, dissociate) and, um… what about phantom feelings catered to the voidal magic with which the piece of arcanium is made of? e.g., water = feeling wet or chilled, fire = hot flashes or burning sensations, earth = stiff and stone-like joints, air = idrk, sensory illusion = mild visual and auditory hallucinations, translocation = constantly misplaced belongings, conjuration = idrk either lol, etc. 

 

just my humble suggestions n.n

 

EDIT: the phantom feelings thing may sound inconsequential but i feel like every reasonable person (character in this case) would eventually grow insane by suffering those effects in their daily life; i would, at least!

It's mostly aesthetic and also the metal you'd use to make cool enchants, which are meant to be used by non mages. IMO I'd rather non mages be able to use it
